Darnitskiy district of Kiev. Districts of Kiev: Svyatoshinsky, Dneprovsky, Solomensky

The capital of Ukraine, the glorious Kiev, which was once called the "Mother of Russian Cities", is located on both banks of the Dnieper River. The administrative division, carried out from the 1920s until recently, allocated 10 districts, 3 of which are on the left and 7 on the right bank. They are connected by 6 major automobile bridges, 2 railway bridges, 1 with traffic of cars and trains and several pedestrian ones. Each district of Kiev has a good overground traffic intersection and metro, which greatly simplifies the life of Kyivans, tourists and visitors. Left Bank

Here are located Darnitsky, Dniprovsky and Desnyansky, which is the largest in the area and the most densely populated area of the Left Bank. Its name was given by the name of the Desna River flowing in this part of the city. Desniansky district of Kiev by type refers to sleeping. The Dnieper

Dnieper district of Kiev until 1969 was part of Darnitsky. On the territory it is the smallest and most populous. Includes the residential districts of Raduzhny, Liski, Rusanovsky, Hydropark, Komsomolsky, Levoberezhny, Bereznyaki, Nikolsky Slobodka, Rusanovskiye Gardens, Voskresenka, Trukhanov Island, DVRZ, Sotsgorod and Staraya Darnitsa. On the territory of the district there are sports complex, cinemas, Exhibition Hall, Academic Drama Theater, Hydropark with diverse beaches (attractions for children, nudists, invalids), Kyoto Park, bowling center, pedestrian bridge. The metro stations are Hydropark, Darnitsa, Levoberezhnaya and Chernigov.

Darnitskiy

Darnitskiy district of Kiev adorns with its natural beauties. On its territory there are 32 lakes, 8 ponds, 12 man-made reservoirs, many parks, avenues, squares. The name arose (according to some versions) as a result of the donation of these lands to the Nikolsky-Desert Monastery by the prince of Lithuania. The second assumption is that the people who settled here and worked for the monastery were freed from the dowry, that is, they lived "on a gift to a girl". The third version - the land was named after the river Darnitsa, which flowed here. At the dawn of its existence, Darnitsky was a fairly large area. After all the administrations, he had Osokorki, Poznyaki, Korolek, Bortnichi, Novaya Darnitsa, Red Farm, Lower Gardens and Kharkiv. There are several large shopping centers in the district. One of the best in the city is "Arcadia" with a supermarket "Silpo" (metro Osokorki), in which the European range of goods and excellent service. For entertainment in the area there are bowling centers, an oceanarium, an ice rink. Famous for the whole world, the Pozniak shantytowns are also here. The metro stations are Osokorky, Poznyaki, Borispolskaya, Kharkivskaya, Chervony Khutor, Vyrlytsia and Slavutich.

Right bank, north

Obolonsky district of Kiev, or Obolon, occupies the north of the Right Bank. The historical name received from flooded lands during the flood (Bolonia). Obolon is famous for its river Pochayna, where the baptism of Kievites was held in ancient times. After multiple divisions of the territory, Petrovka, Minsk, part of Kurenivka, Priora, Vyshgorodsky and Obolon entered the district. There are many interesting places in Obolonsky. This is a mirror labyrinth, a house where everything is upside down, a water park, two beaches (Verbny and Chertoroy), two ice skating rinks, two roller centers, a firemen's museum, a stone labyrinth that answers all questions. Here there are the largest shopping and entertainment centers "Caravan", "Metropolis", "Dream Town", "Polar". You can relax in nature by the lake of Jordan, in the park of stones and in the Natalka tract. Subway stations are Petrovka, Minskaya, Obolon and Heroes of the Dnieper.

South

The largest and most sparsely populated area is the Goloseevsky district of Kiev. It occupies the southern part of the city. Once there was a farm in which the monastery was founded with a park planted (planted) on a bare place. Hence the name. Goloseevsky is one of the greenest areas of the city. In its territory there are several parks (Goloseevsky, Feofaniya and others), a museum of beekeeping, VDNH, a hippodrome, an ice palace, a stadium, a sports complex, a swimming pool, a dolphinarium, several large shopping centers (Respublika, Magellan, Atmosfera) Three monasteries - St. Panteleimon's, Holy Protection, Holy Trinity. The territory of the district is divided into more than two dozen residential areas, including Feofania, Demievka, Goloseevo, Teremki, Pirogovo, Campus, Kitaevo, Lysaya Gora and others. The metro stations are the Demievskaya, Lybidskaya, Vydubichi, Lev Tolstoy Square, Exhibition Center, Hippodrome, Olimpiyskaya, Palats Ukraina and Vasilkovskaya.

Centre

The central part of the city is formed by the Solomensky, Shevchenkovsky and Pechersky districts. Also here can be attributed part of Holosiivsky and Podolsky. As in any capital, almost all administrative buildings are concentrated in the center of Kiev, here is the main street - Khreshchatyk, the legendary Independence Square, major shopping centers, the main post office, embassies, luxury hotels and restaurants. Here are the pearls of Ukraine - the Golden Gate, St. Sophia Cathedral, Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, many museums, palaces, parks, famous houses (with chimeras, chocolate), huge ultramodern shopping centers and much more. In Pechersky there are Zverinets, the residential buildings Pechersk, Chernaya Gora, Center, New Buildings. Shevchenkovsky covers Lukyanovka, Nivki, Tatarka, Shulyavka, Gonchary-Kozhemyaki, Kudryavets. The decoration of the central districts are ancient buildings, fountains, theaters, museums, which Kiev is proud of.

The Solomensky district is a kind of gate of the city, since here there is a central railway. Railway station, Zhulyany International Airport, Kiev-Tovarny Station. In the center of the capital all metro lines converge, there are several stations for the transition from one line to another. The main stations - "Golden Gate", "Independence Square", "Khreshchatyk".

Kyiv, Svyatoshinskiy district

The western part of the city belongs to Svyatoshinsky district, located on the site of the former village of Svyatoshino. They named it in honor of the prince of Chernigov Svyatoslav, who was given the name of Nicolas Svyatosh in monastic life. In this area are Galagany, Borshchagovka, Belichi, Akademgorodok, Ekaterinovka, Svyatoshino, Zhovtnevoye, Berkovets, Novobelichi and Peremoga. In the area there are several beautiful parks, among which there is a unique green massif "Sovki". There is a swimming pool in Svyatoshinsky, two ice skating rinks, an international exhibition center. On Borshchagovka there is a temple of the Life-giving Source. The metro stations are "Nivki", "Zhitomirskaya", "Akademgorodok" and "Svyatoshino".
