Czech striker David Lafat

David Lafata is an experienced Czech striker who, during most of the time when he was a professional football player, played in his homeland. He acts almost always as a classical striker, that is, he plays at the forefront of the attack. David Lafata recently celebrated his 35th birthday. Thus, he is one of the oldest players in the Czech Republic.

David Lafata was born on September 18, 1981 in Czechoslovakia, eventually finding herself in the Czech half of the disintegrated state. At the age of eight, he enrolled in the football academy of the local small club "Oleshnik", in which he trained for three years. In 1992, the 11-year-old boy moved to Ceske Budejovice, where he spent seven years, speaking for youth of different age groups. In 1999, David Lafata signed a full agreement with the club. For him, the athlete and began to speak in the future.

Club career

David Lafata is a football player who has changed many clubs in his career. First, he spent six years in his own club, which in the process was renamed "Dynamo". In 2002, he briefly went on lease to another Czech club - Vysochina, in which he played five matches and scored one goal. For the rest of the time in the club, David entered the field 123 times, scoring 34 goals.

In 2005, he moved to the Greek championship for one season, where he represented the club "Xanthi", but he entered the field only nine times and did not score a single goal, so a year later he returned to the Czech Republic and signed a contract with the club "Jablonec". There he worked 31 matches, scored 10 goals and again tried his luck abroad, this time in the Viennese "Austriya". In this club he played 42 games, scored six goals and won his first trophy - the Austrian Cup.

In the summer of 2008, Lafat returned to "Jablonec", for which he subsequently spoke four and a half years. During this time he entered the field 136 times, scoring 81 goals - this was one of the best periods in his career.

But the most successful was still ahead - in the winter of 2012 the forward moved to Prague "Sparta", for which he played 124 matches for three and a half years, scoring 84 goals. In the current season, Lafat appeared on the field in fifteen games and scored four goals.

National team appearances

In the Czech Republic, Lafat made his debut in September 2006, at the age of 25, and in the first game against the Wales team he took a double.

Since then he has played 40 matches, scored five more goals, and also visited the European Championships in 2012 and 2016, where he played in three games out of six.

At the moment his last match for the national team is a fight against Croatia at the European Championship-2016.
