Constant headaches. The main causes

Often the headache can be compared to an abstract picture: bright and incomprehensible. However, if you look closely, the details become visible. The nature and localization of pain can indicate a particular disease.

With acute respiratory viral or influenza, the headache is associated with fever and runny nose. Localization of painful sensations in the area of the crown, forehead, or eyes may indicate an inflammation that affects the paranasal sinuses. As a result of hypothermia, in some cases, there is discomfort in the throat, around the eyes and the back of the nose. In this case, soreness is associated with exposure to cold receptors. This, as a rule, occurs after a quickly drunk glass with chilling water or eaten ice cream. In such cases, warm tea brings relief.

However, there are times when you suffer from constant headaches. Pulsating character indicates a poisoning or a hangover state. Often, permanent headaches develop as a result of excessive use (overdose) of antiallergic or vasoconstrictor. The same symptom complains of hypertension.

The presence of intracranial pressure in a person can provoke permanent headaches in the back of the head. In addition, discomfort in this area is accompanied by fatigue against the background of problems with arterial pressure. However, in the latter case, it is enough to ventilate the room or regularly do morning exercises.

Constant headaches can accompany the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the cerebral ventricles. As a rule, they are strengthened when they are tilted.

Causes of permanent headaches may include inflammation, swelling, or hemorrhage. In such cases, in the absence of timely assistance, paralysis of facial musculature or defeat in the optic nerve can be obtained, which will cause blindness.

An intense headache is often a symptom of cervical osteochondrosis. In this case, patients also feel as if something inside squeezes and presses. Such feelings are typical for people whose activities are not associated with frequent changes in posture. As a rule, such an ailment affects office workers who are forced to sit in a static position. Often, while the soreness is paroxysmal, localized at one point, usually in the nape of the neck. In this case, the symptom may increase during movements. Often pain is given in the arm or shoulder, and sometimes in the heart.

With neuralgia of the occipital or facial nerve, vomiting, shooting or burning sensations are characteristic. Pain can also occur as a result of a so-called "whiplash injury". This happens, for example, when the driver did not notice a "lying policeman during the ride. First, there may not be any unpleasant sensations. However, after a while, headaches may occur.

Treatment, as a rule, is appointed depending on localization and character. However, many are trying to eliminate the unpleasant sensation of anesthetic drugs (No-shpa, Paracetamol). However, it should be remembered that medications can only alleviate, but not eliminate, the manifestation of the disease. Headache, as a rule, just does not appear. Regular, intense manifestations of it can indicate serious pathologies. Often, in the absence of specialist assistance, as well as uncontrolled (self-administered) medication, very unfavorable consequences develop.

In many cases the pain is caused by psychoemotional reasons. In such cases, you need to pay attention to your regime. Of course, you should exclude any stressful situations, rest more, visit the fresh air.
