In 2012, one of the most talked-about comedies was a picture by Seth MacFarlane directed by "Third Extra". She is considered his debut in terms of full-length film work and immediately liked the audience. The highlight of this tape is the combination in it of a comic genre with elements of fantasy. The bottom line is that in the movie "The Third Extra" actors are living people, but one of the main and most brilliant heroes is a teddy bear. Hence the phrase, briefly describing the picture: in love is not without a bear.

Plot of the film

It's about the boy John, who dreamed of real friends since childhood. But he did not have those, until his unusual desire for Christmas was fulfilled. On the eve of the holiday the guy decided that his favorite toy - a teddy bear - could talk and communicate with him. Since then, a bear named Ted and hero John have become very friendly, but as the boy grows up, this friendship has already begun to become a problem. Ted has bad habits: he smokes the grass, starts off and does not want to grow up. It's strange that in the movie "The Third Extra" (the actors of the film will be examined by us later), the characters on the plot do not pay any attention to such "non-standard" behavior of the plush toy.

And one day the most interesting comes. John falls in love with a beautiful girl named Laurie, which practically puts the hero before the choice. Now he has to think hard and decide who is dearer and more dear to him: best friend Ted or lover.

Cast

The actors of the "Third Extra" were selected by the director and the whole team very carefully. Especially it concerned performers of the main roles - John Bennett and Laurie Collins. They were played by the world-famous stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, who for a long time already knew the audience by roles in other films. Wahlberg became a movie star primarily thanks to the acclaimed drama "Boogie Night", after the release of which he became popular. In addition, the actor successfully starred in the "Planet of the Apes", "The Ideal Storm" and many others.

Mila Kunis is equally famous for her acting talent. One of the most memorable paintings of critics noted her role in the film "Black Swan", for which the actress received the "Saturn" award.

In 2015, the year went on to continue the comedy project "Third Extra". Actors and roles here have changed, and new faces have appeared. More specifically, in the second part Mila Kunis is no longer involved. According to the scenario, he and John part ways, after which the hero goes in search of a new relationship.

The opinions of film experts regarding the comic tape were divided. Some people speak positively about the project as a whole and consider its plot rather original. Others point to some shortcomings on the part of the creators. So there are opinions that in the movie "The Third Extra" actors and roles are not distributed in the best way: they do not correspond to the age of the characters and do not reveal an atmosphere of humor.

However, for the most part both critics and viewers took the picture positively. This is evidenced by the fact that the budget tape, which amounted to more than five hundred million dollars, paid off 11 times. Thousands of filmmakers from different countries visited the halls in which the "Third Extra" show was shown.

Regarding awards, the film won the "Top Box Office Films" nomination and received the American Society of Composers, Authors and Creators Award. In addition, in one of the categories, the comedy was nominated for Oksar.

It is strange that in the movie "The Third Extra" the actors who performed the other roles do not pay any attention to this non-standard behavior of the plush toy.
