The kurabje is of Eastern origin. This delicacy, as well as its name, came to us from Arab countries.

According to legend, the first kurab was prepared at the court of the Persian Sultan. They say that during the military operations the Sultan disappeared almost all the products. You will need: half a kilogram of flour, 200 grams of sugar powder, 250 grams of butter, 50 grams of honey, 150 ml of milk, ground lemon zest (a teaspoon), a few cloves buds, cardamom, a bag of vanilla sugar.

The butter with sugar is ground to a white color, honey, spices are added and everything mixes well. Then everything is dissolved in milk, flour is poured and everything is mixed into dough. About 15 minutes the dough should stand in the refrigerator, then it should be rolled into a thin layer (approximately 1 mm). With a glass or figured form, cut the pastry out of the dough. Put the liver on a greased baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes on low heat in a well-heated oven. When the cookie is ready, sprinkle it with powdered sugar, which is added with vanilla sugar.
