At first it was hot chocolate, which was cooked and served in small shops. Later, whole shops began to appear, and even plants for its production. The first chocolate factories in Russia began to be built in the 19th century. The most famous were the factories located in Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
