While some young people are trying to use all the opportunities not to serve, Sergey Alexandrovich Burnaev dreamed about the army. I tried to get into the Airborne Forces, but was drafted into special forces, the elite group "Hero". And I never regretted it later. He had a goal - to earn a beret beret. The council of the detachment unanimously decided on its delivery to the twenty-year-old Sergei, on March 28, 2002, with his feat stepped into immortality.

The life path of the future hero

In the family of Alexander and Valentina Burnayevs two sons grew up. Junior Sergey, born on 15.01.1982 in Mordovia, went to school in the village of Zaoksky (Tula region), where the family had moved to permanent residence by that time. He was a boy with a mobile, exemplary behavior was not different, but respected the elders and for the weak stood a mountain. Cheerful, noisy, snooty, he seemed to hurry to live, becoming a real leader in the boy's company. Possessing an acute sense of justice, pleading for his older brother, refused to retake the session in the technical school, where he entered after leaving school. Only because the teacher was counting on monetary "gratitude".

Burnaev Sergey Alexandrovich, whose photo in childhood can be seen in the article, never smoked and was not addicted to alcohol. After spending some time at the factory of rubber shoes, he readily went to the army in 2000, having got into the ODON VV MVD of the Russian Federation, the group "Vityaz", located in the city of Reutov (Moscow region). The parents who arrived on oath found the son thin, but happy. Despite the enormous physical strain and severity of service, the guy became the best shooter of the unit and was prematurely transferred to the reconnaissance group.

Business trips to the war

In Chechnya Burnaev Sergey Alexandrovich, whose biography closely intertwined with the special unit "Hero", visited twice. From December 2000 to May 2001, being a soldier-conscript, and from November 2001 - as a contractor. After spending 250 days in the combat zone, Sergei, who became a sergeant and division commander, took part in eighteen operations. The most serious among them - in Shali, Mesker-Yurt, Bachi-Yurt, Germenchuk, Chechen-aul, as well as in the villages of New and Old Atagi. In these battles, he proved himself a skilful warrior, who won the recognition of his comrades-in-arms, who gave him the nickname "Brown".

In December 2001, he wrote a letter to his mother, where he asked for forgiveness that he was back in the war. He knew how much she was worried for the first time, and therefore reported that there were no fighting in Chechnya, and the detachment was only monitoring compliance with the passport regime. Sergei dreamed of making a family a gift - to build a house, so he easily tolerated the hardships and privations of a military mission. In his native village he was waiting for a bride named Maria, he loved life and made plans, the implementation of which was simply postponed until the completion of the contract.

Argun: special operation of "Knights"

March 27 in the internal troops a professional holiday. On this day, "The Knight" received the award, and on the 28th he went to perform the combat mission. The FSB reported an ammunition depot in the basements of school No. 4 in the city of Argun, where the special forces sent 7 armored personnel carriers and 70 personnel. For a long time nobody studied at school. Standing in the wasteland, it was ideally suited for a meeting place for militants, from where they were selected with weapons, fighting with the feds. And then again turned into civilians, hiding for a while.

As part of the group of special forces there was also Burnaev Sergey Alexandrovich together with his unit. In the impenetrable shadow of the cellars, they found a warehouse of ammunition and two fighters, destroyed during the operation. But the scout Burnaev did not believe that this limited the nest of militants, and again rushed to the basements with his guys, discovering a whole network of underground passages.

Salvation of fighting comrades

Climbing through narrow tunnels, Burnaev Sergey Alexandrovich went ahead, once again stumbling upon the smoked suicide bombers. Entering the battle, he was cut off from his comrades, focusing in total darkness only on flashes from shots. During the shootout, Sergei was wounded, but the special forces managed to get through to him and continue the destruction of a group of militants. In that battle, the platoon commander and two soldier-conscripts also suffered. Suddenly a grenade rolled from the bandits through the manhole in the pipe. During the next outbreak from the shot, Sergeant Burnaev saw a mortal danger. He had exactly four seconds to make a decision.

He took the only true thing for himself, covering the grenade with his body and defending his fighters. The battle continued for another two hours, during which 8 bandits were killed, including two field commanders. Later it will be known that another group of militants broke through to them, unable to get through the cordon. Twenty-year-old hero remained lying face to the defeated bandits, holding tightly in his hands a wretched machine. And one of those to whom he saved his life, for a whole year lost his voice, shocked by the events of the terrible battle.

Honoring the hero

Spetsnaz said goodbye to his friend in Reutov, where today on the Alley of Heroes there is a bust of the heroic sergeant. The officers took the zinc coffin to Zaoksky, where a solemn funeral took place at the cemetery. One of the servicemen put a picket beret on the lid of the coffin , rightfully belonging to the parents of the special forces officer. In November 2002, in the Kremlin, Alexander and Valentina Burnaevy from the hands of the President received for their son a well-deserved award - the Star of the Hero. And they were given an apartment, having fulfilled the dream that Boris Aleksandrovich Burnaev once wanted to realize.

In Dubenki, where the sergeant was born, he erected a monument, and in Zaoksky - a memorial plaque. His name is the school, where annually the best class is awarded the title of "Burnaiites", and he himself is permanently enlisted in the military unit of the VV. Burnaev Sergey Alexandrovich - Hero of Russia, whose feat will always be an example for the younger generation. To give up life for the sake of fighting comrades is the highest manifestation of the strength of spirit and the meaning of human destiny.
