Cheesecakes in the oven for children and adults

Why cheese cakes are called cheese cakes, although they are cooked from cottage cheese? It turns out that this delicious sweet dish has been known for a very long time, and in the old days it was customary to call cheese cottage cheese. Of course, we now perfectly understand the difference between these two products, but the old name has become so established that no one thinks about its origin.

Cheesecake is a dish that is often offered to children, because kids often refuse to eat natural curd. Therefore, moms, in order to feed the children with such a useful product, often prepare various desserts with its addition.

Classic cheese cakes are fried in a frying pan in oil. But if we want to cook a dish for children, then this method does not suit us. However, and adults who decide to eat sour cream, it is better to exclude the frying in order to reduce the amount of fat in the prepared dish. So, we will prepare the syrniki in the oven.

This variant of the dish is more useful, but not less tasty. To prepare the dessert syrniki in the oven, we need a half-kilogram of cottage cheese. It is very important that the cottage cheese is not wet, then it will not be necessary to add a lot of flour, which can hammer its taste. If the cottage cheese is too wet, then to remove excess liquid, it is worth wrapping it in gauze, putting it in a colander, pressing it down and leaving it for several hours to remove the remnants of whey.

We also need 2 eggs, about 150 grams of flour (maybe a little more, it depends on the cottage cheese), sugar to taste (about 4 tablespoons of spoon), a bag of baking powder for dough, or half a teaspoon of baking soda, a little salt.

As flavor additives you can use vanillin, cinnamon, lemon zest. Delicious cheese cakes in the oven are obtained with the addition of dried fruits - dried apricots, raisins or prunes. Dried fruits should be well washed, pour boiling water, so they are slightly swollen, prunes remove the bones. Then dried fruits should be dried on a napkin, dried apricots and prunes cut into pieces. Before adding to the curd pastry, dried fruit should be sprinkled with flour.

Cottage cheese should be kneaded well, it can be rubbed through a sieve. Now break into a bowl of sugar, eggs, salt, fragrant additives, whisk this mixture well and mix it with crushed cottage cheese. If we are preparing cheese cakes with dried fruits, then we add prepared raisins or dried apricots.

In another bowl, mix the flour and baking powder (or soda), add to the curd mass and knead the dough, which should turn out to be dense enough to make balls from it.

Since we are preparing cheese cakes in the oven, we need to cover the baking tray with baking paper, oil it and spread the balls formed from the cottage cheese dough. We press them with the hand from above to give them the shape of thick cakes.

Cheesecakes need to be laid out far from each other, as in the baking process they will increase slightly in size. Cook the cheese cakes from the cottage cheese in the oven for about half an hour, setting the thermostat to a temperature of 180 degrees.

You can prepare another version of this dish, putting a smaller amount of flour. In this case, the taste of cottage cheese will be felt brighter. But since then the cottage cheese dough will turn out to be more liquid, it is necessary to use molds for baking small cupcakes, for example, silicone.

So, how to cook syrniki in the oven in the molds? The recipe practically does not differ from the above, only flour should be put half as much. If there is a desire to put dried fruits in syrniki, then it is better not to put them in the dough, but to spread them over the molds, over the curd pastry. You can also use slices of fresh fruit or berries. Bake syrniki need until they get a golden color.

Both the first and second version of the syrnikov from the oven can be served with sour cream, any sweet sauce or honey.
