Characteristics of Duni from the "Stationmaster". Analysis of the main character's behavior

Pushkin, first of all, is known for his poetic works, but his prose is also good. Take, for example, the story "Stationmaster." This work is known to everyone from school, but few people think about how mysterious it is. Why did Samson's daughter Vyrin, Dunya, never find the time or opportunity to meet with her father after her mysterious disappearance? It is this issue that will become the main topic of our article. Let's look at what characteristic of Duni from the "Stationmaster" is the most suitable for her.

Plot

There will not be a detailed account of the plot, because the tasks we have are somewhat different. Nevertheless, it is worth recalling its main milestones.

The author of the narrative (and the story is on behalf of I. P. Belkin) falls into the hut to the station watchman in May 1816. There he meets the owner's daughter - a beautiful creature: a blonde with blue eyes, quiet, modest. In a word - a miracle, not a girl. She is only 14 years old, and she already attracts the attention of men.

Samson Vyrin's daughter is very proud, and not only for her beauty, but also for the fact that everything is arguing with her. The house is cleaned perfectly, cleanliness and order are everywhere, but the superintendent is cheerful, fresh and pleasant to look at.

In other words, in the first meeting of the author with Vyrin, the characterization of Duni from the "Stationmaster" is the most positive thing. We move further.

History of the caretaker

The second visit to the hut was no longer so encouraging. The author returned there four years later and found there desolation, and the superintendent was, to put it mildly, not in the form: old, shaggy, asleep, hiding himself with an old sheepskin coat, and the general state of affairs in the house was fit for the watchman himself.

IP Belkin for a long time could not talk S. Vyrin, but then they decided to have a drink, and the conversation went. The supervisor told the story of the disappearance of his daughter from the father's house. About the searcher also told IP Belkin. After a while, the caretaker found his daughter, but this was not much of a problem.

In the end, the story with his daughter finished, he drank and died. And when the girl decided to visit her father, she only had to mourn at his grave. This is the story of the story.

Of course, the characterization of Duni from the "Stationmaster" is completely different than in the first meeting of the author with Vyrin.

Why did the meeting between Dunya and her father not take place during the life of the latter?

Here you can only fantasize. For example, it is clear that the girl's father could be completely devoid of ambition, and he was quite satisfied with the role of a petty official: life in a hut and other amenities of low social status and income. But his daughter could be depressed. Of course, she did not want to upset her father, so she was silent about her feelings, and such thoughts were not accepted then. The XIX century is very different from the XXI. In any case, we do not know the whole truth. However, it is known that one day a young hussar appears in the hut and takes Dunya to his home. She resists only for the species. The reader understands: she wanted to be kidnapped.

It is already possible to answer the question, what characteristic of Duni from the "Stationmaster" suits her the most. Let's describe it in more detail. Dunya is a girl who learned early on that she has some influence on men, and unconsciously decided to take full advantage of her natural quality. She, no doubt, loves her father, but the thought that she will live with him in the hut all her life was unbearable for her. It is not known whether Dunya had a plan for escape or not, but when the fortunate event turned out, everything turned out all by itself. This is the characteristic of Duni from the "Stationmaster" according to the plan stated at the beginning of the article.

Nevertheless, the question of why the daughter did not find the strength to see her father remains. Most likely, she was ashamed that she ran away from him with cowardice. She actually killed her father, depriving them of the meaning of existence. Without Duni, both the caretaker and his hut came to desolation. The girl and could not take responsibility for her act - flight from home. With this, we finish the discussion of the image of the main character of the story, written by AS Pushkin, "Stationmaster." The characteristics of Duni and the possible motives for her behavior were set forth in the article. We hope that our brief survey interested you, and you will read this story in one breath.
