Chamomile dyeing: description, characteristics and medicinal properties of the plant

Pupavka dye refers to herbaceous perennial plants. This species belongs to the family of astroids. It is found in various regions of Russia, in the countries of Asia and the Caucasus, distributed in Belarus and in most parts of Ukraine.

Description of the flower

Pappa dyeing (photo above) has a lot of names. As soon as it is not called in the people:

  • Yellow daisy;
  • Blending;
  • Field saffron;
  • Wolf's eye;
  • Flower;
  • Bull's eye, etc.

In the scientific community it is known as Anthemis (Anthemis). The plant has a straight stalk, and in height it can reach 25-60 cm. The size of the flower is not more than 6 cm in diameter. In appearance, the dandruff dye is very similar to the medicinal daisy, but its main difference is the petals of a yellow or orange hue. The leaves are large, green-gray in color, covered with hairs in the form of a spider web. A specific flavor is a feature of this plant. Flowering can be observed from the beginning of June to August. The fruit in the form of a tetrahedral, slightly flattened seed capsule ripens in the last summer month.

Pupavka dyeing grows in fields, wastelands, arid meadows, also it can be found near residential buildings and roads. The flower is able to withstand severe frosts (up to -30 degrees).

Application of the plant

In the chemical industry, shovel is used as a raw material, from which yellow paint is produced. The plant is also used in folk and traditional medicine. Pappa dyeing, the medicinal properties of which have been known for a long time, has a number of useful actions. It is used as a diuretic, antihelminthic, choleretic and diaphoretic, antimalarial and hemostatic.

Decoctions of this herb are effective in the treatment of diathesis, colds and atopic dermatitis. The drug is used for gastralgia and uterine bleeding. To prepare the broth you need 2 tsp. Dried grass and a glass of boiling water. The medicinal mixture is poured hot water and left to infuse for 3-4 hours. Use the broth 4 times a day on a tablespoon per reception.

Stem, leaves and the flower itself are used for medicinal purposes. The value of a plant is that its chemical composition includes such useful components:

  • Quercetin (a substance from the group of vitamins P);
  • Essential oil;
  • rubber;
  • Pigment coloring yellow;
  • Compounds of polyacetylenes;
  • Glycosides.

Herbaceous plant is used externally as an insecticide to stop bleeding, make lotions with decoction. It is prepared in this way: for 1 liter of liquid take 5 tbsp. L. Finely grated herbs, bring to a boil and cook for 4-5 minutes. The broth is insisted no more than an hour, after which it must be filtered and used for the intended purpose.

Quercetin: pharmacological properties

A substance from the group of vitamins P - quartzetin - is contained in the dandruff dye. This chemical element is widely used in pharmacology. The drug is available in the form of tablets and powders. It is recommended for the prevention and treatment of such diseases:

  • Avitaminosis P;
  • Hypovitaminosis P;
  • diathesis;
  • radiation sickness;
  • measles;
  • scarlet fever;
  • Rheumatism and many others.

The dose of quercetin is 0.02 g for one dose, not consumed more than 5 times a day. The treatment lasts about 1.5 months.

Chamomile dyeing: cultivation

The plant is very unpretentious in the care, so growing it is a pleasure. Planting a flower in the garden, you need to take into account that the pupas like the abundance of sunlight, so you need to choose an open area. The soil must be stony, with a small content of sand. The plant is resistant to frost, responds well to the lure of the soil.

In the flowerbed with peonies and irises, the dandelion dye will look great. Cultivation from seeds is probably the only way to grow a medicinal plant. The sowing is carried out in the open ground, and the most favorable time for this procedure is the middle of spring and the beginning of autumn.

Species of the plant

The family of Compositae, which includes dandelion and dyeing, has a huge number of species. In nature there are about 100 varieties of this herbaceous plant. Let us consider only some of them.

  1. Mayweed. It grows on the territory of European countries. Especially often it can be found in Ukraine and the Caucasus, Belarus, Moldova and Russia. The plant has medicinal properties and is used for epilepsy. For these purposes, the infusion is prepared: a teaspoon of dried crushed roots is poured with boiling water (200 ml). The drug is infused for 3 hours, after which it must be filtered and drunk 50-75 ml 3 times during the day. Herbal juice is drunk in small doses (tablespoon 3 times a day) for cancer. Powder from dried roots is used to enhance male potency, poultices are effective for toothaches.
  2. Pappa dog. The plant is annual, characterized by an unpleasant odor. Its chemical composition is very similar to a dandruff dye. Used as an antihelminthic, diuretic. The plant heals wounds well and has an antispasmodic effect. With flatulence, enemas are made from the herb.
  3. Shamrock is noble. The plant is used as a remedy for gastrointestinal diseases (flatulence, heaviness in the stomach, spasmodic pains). It eliminates inflammation in the mouth and throat. Noble pappa has white flowers and has a whitening effect, so it is used to prepare hair dyes.

All these types of plants, despite a very funny name, have useful healing properties and help fight numerous diseases.
