Chamber Theater (Cheboksary): history, playbill, troupe

Cheboksary Chamber Theater exists only two years. In addition to performances, many different events are held here. The guests of the city also appear on his stage.

History of the theater

The Chamber Theater (Cheboksary) opened its doors in July 2014. It is very young, but meets all European standards. This is the first private theater in the city.

Its auditorium is designed for 174 seats. It is equipped with the latest technology. The hall has the latest sound and light equipment, as well as soft and very comfortable chairs. The stage is universal and designed both for the work of dramatic troupes, and for concerts.

On the day of its opening, the Chamber Theater (Cheboksary) presented the audience the play "Winter Under the Table". This production is based on the play by playwright Roland Topor. The play tells the story of the love of a poor shoemaker and translator. The scene of action is Paris. The production uses non-trivial scenery, original choreography and live music. The director of the play is Anton Saveliev.

Almost immediately, the Cheboksary Theater managed to attract the attention of the public. The troupe constantly works on new productions. And although the preparation of each performance is a very costly affair, the theater must produce three or four new productions each season. This is necessary in order not to lose interest in the audience. In the repertoire of the theater includes not only classical works, but also plays by contemporary authors.

Chambering allows creating a special atmosphere - freedom and openness. A small hall brings together actors and spectators. This allows artists to better convey the idea. And the audience helps to immerse themselves in action. The hall is very ugly. Here everything is created so that visitors can get distracted from problems, think and rest.

So far, the conditions in which the troupe works are not the best. But the actors look to the future with optimism and are open to creativity. The theater is ready to cooperate with directors, playwrights and artists.
