How to prepare a wax for a candlestick?

In the candlestick-jar you can put a ready candle, or you can pour a wax into it. Everyone decides for himself what type he needs.

To pour the wax into glass containers, it must first be prepared. To do this, take a piece of material and cut it into small cubes. Place the crushed wax in a saucepan. Turn on the stove and place a pot of water on the burner, and place a container of wax on top. Make a water bath. Stir the wax with a wooden stick. Until it completely melts.

Then turn off the plate and, without removing from it a saucepan with wax, add the necessary additives: aromatic oils, dyes and so on. Mix thoroughly with a wooden stick.

The wax is ready. Remember that it can very quickly freeze. Therefore, at once make a candle out of it.

The easiest way to make a candlestick from a jar

Master class, how to make a candlestick from a can:

1. Prepare the wax: melt it and mix it with additives.
2. Take the jar and fix the wick inside it. To do this, drip wax on one end of the cord or use a special tablet clamp and lower it to the bottom of the container using a tube (see the picture above).
3. Fasten the other end of the wick so that it does not fall inside. To do this, wind it on a wooden skewer or make a special clamp (see the picture above).
4. Slowly, so that the wick does not budge and fall, pour liquid wax into a glass container.
5. When the wax on top hardens, you can remove the wick attachment.
6. If a notch is formed in the candle, fill in the remnants of wax.

If you want, that at you the striped candle has turned out, fill in wax, alternating colors and giving each series to dry up.

1. Measure the circumference of the jar that you prepared.
2. Draw a line on the sheet of paper, the length of which is equal to the diameter of the jar.
3. Mark the highest point of the future drawing from the line, because it can not be greater than the height of the can.
4. Draw from line to point silhouette. In our example, these are small houses and Christmas trees.
5. Cut out the silhouette along the contour with scissors or a clerical knife.
6. Sideways grab an extra centimeter so that you can glue the ends together.
7. Cover the jar with artificial snow for a third.
8. Attach a carved silhouette around the can and glue its ends together.
9. Put a candle inside the jar.

1. Take a white woolen thread and tightly wrap it around the jar, leaving the neck.
2. Glue it with glue and sprinkle on the top of the sequins (shimmer).

1. Take a glass jar, on its wall, stick a piece of paint tape. If the stripes are thin, then make several rows superimposed on each other.
2. Cut out the silhouette from the pasted tape. In our example, it's a heart.
3. Remove the excess tape from the can, leaving only the silhouette of the figure on the wall.
4. Cover the jar with paint. It is most convenient to use a can. To do this, twist several newspapers into a tube and put a jar on them. Cover evenly with the entire surface of the glass container. If necessary, make another layer. Instead of a can, you can use acrylic paint. But it lasts longer.
5. When the paint dries, poddene something paint tape and remove it.
6. Decorate the neck of the jar with string or tape.
7. Inside, put a candle-tablet.

Candlesticks from small glass jars

Many people think that the best candlesticks are obtained from tall or wide jars. After all, they can accommodate a lot of decor and thanks to their size there is a large field for creativity. But in fact, you can make a very beautiful candlestick from a can of baby food. Sometimes enough just a pair of any strokes and wonderful decor is ready!

Here are some examples of how you can make cute candlesticks from small jars:

1. Cut off a small piece of lace that can wrap around the diameter of the jar, but it will be narrower than the walls of the container. Secure the edges of the lace with an adhesive gun. Top the cord. The candlestick in the style of shebbi-chic turned out.
