Concrete - the material in construction is indispensable. It is made of foundations, walls, bridges, etc. It is distinguished by its strength and durability, but this composition has one quite significant drawback - it is not too resistant to tension. To correct this situation, use special metal rods, which are called building fixtures. The rods are poured into concrete to produce a structure that can withstand both compression and stretching.

To date, a variety of types of building fittings are produced. It can be classified according to the method of manufacture or application or the materials used in the production. Armature, the thickness of which does not exceed 10 mm, is sold by coils. If its diameter in the profile is more than 10 mm, it is cut into rods 6-12 m long.

There are two types of fittings: with a periodic profile (this term is used by specialists) and smooth reinforcement. The types of this building material in the first case can be covered with either ribs or notches. Distinguish sickle-shaped, mixed and ring varieties. Such bars are better adhered to concrete, which ultimately makes it possible to get stronger structures.

An armature is produced (the types of which can be designed for a variety of high-strength structures) from hot rolled steel by cutting. There is another way - wire, in which hot metal is drawn into the rod. In the manufacture, both hardened steel and simple can be used.

In construction also used a different type of steel fittings. Its types are intended for use in the construction of structures of different strength and purpose. In order for the consumer to understand what kind of reinforcement is needed in one or another case, marking is used. For example, the products are manufactured in the classes A240, A400, A800, etc.

On sale there is a welded and not welded armature, the types of which differ in that the first option can be used for welding, and the second with this method of joining the mesh and the frame becomes brittle, which inevitably affects the strength of the entire structure.
Therefore, non-weldable reinforcement is collected by binding individual rods by wire. Also distinguish resistant to corrosive stretching equipment and unstable. In the first case, the products are marked with the letter "C", in the second - "K".

The purpose and types of reinforcement can be very different. However, one thing is clear - without using it, it will not be possible to build a solid and durable structure. A steel base is necessary for the construction of any building, even if it is a small private house.

In addition to the building, there is another type of fittings - locking. It is used mainly in pipelines to block the flow of liquids or steam, as well as to control them. Types of valves can be very different: cranes, latches, valves, locks, etc. Of course, without such an armature, a comfortable house can also not be built. In particular, without it, it is impossible to build water supply and sewage systems.
