Bryansk Machine-Building Plant - pride of the region

CJSC Bryansk Engineering Plant is not only the oldest machine-building plant in the Bryansk Region, but also one of the longest existing enterprises in Russia. History

The Criminal Code "Bryansk Engineering Plant" in the form that everyone knows, did not appear immediately. In 1865 a sawmill was founded here. Since June 20, 1873, the company has expanded its horizons to a rail-rolling, iron-making and mechanical plant. It was this joint-stock company that led to the creation of a working village called Bezhitsa, which exists to this day in the format of a large administrative district of Bryansk. Already by 1978 the plant was awarded the title of the third steel producer in Russia. The eighties became the beginning of the production of wagons, cisterns and platforms for railway use. Bryansk Machine-Building Plant began to occupy leading positions in many exhibitions since 1896.

1907 is marked by the date of production here of steam locomotives from the B series. By 1940, in the market, all heavy-duty tanks were from Bryansk, 28% of locomotives of the CO series, 29% of heavy-duty cars in Russia were also produced at BMZ. Bryansk Engineering Plant in 1946 created the first locomotive "Victory". In 1961, the factory tested the first ship's engine. From 1962 to 1995, the factory began to produce refrigerators and shunting locomotives. Also during this period, the structure of the organization was introduced, which has been preserved to this day. It was in 1965 that the plant was divided into three specializations: diesel, metallurgy and transport engineering.

Modern BMZ

Bryansk Machine-Building Plant has become a part of ZAO Transmashholding since 2002. Let's consider the dynamics of the company's development by years:

  1. 2005 - the first in Russia freight diesel locomotive with two sections and power transmission is being built at the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant.
  2. 2006 - the date of creation of the locomotive "Vityaz" with an asynchronous drive.
  3. 2009 is a difficult period for BMZ. The plant has almost no orders, which leads to a massive reduction in personnel.
  4. 2012 - a change of management with the subsequent renovation of equipment, repair of premises and complete reorganization of production.
  5. 2013 - Bryansk Machine-Building Plant becomes the winner at the competition of the best innovative developments in the field of railway transport.
  6. 2015 - BMZ creates a new generation diesel locomotive.

Today Bryansk Machine Building is a dynamically developing enterprise, where new products are constantly created and real professionals are working.

Production of the enterprise

Bryansk Engineering Plant is one of the leaders in the market of industrial engineering. Mechanical engineering at BMZ includes the following products:

  • Trunk diesel locomotives - the locomotive produces the Vityaz locomotive, which differs from others in the presence of an asynchronous engine, and a diesel locomotive, created by 90% of domestic parts, designed to support the policy of import substitution.
  • Shunting locomotives - only 4 types: TEM18DM, TEM 28, TEM19, TEM TMH.
  • Freight cars - hopper cars for transportation of grain and mineral fertilizers of various models and a specialized wagon-hopper for cement transportation.
  • Spare parts - BMZ produces ship engines, as well as spare parts for shunting locomotives and freight cars.

Production system

In the production at BMZ a standardized list of methods and tools is used. This approach allows us to rationally use resources and constantly improve the level of client satisfaction. The principle of work at the plant is based on the technique of "Lean Manufacturing". In the framework of this methodology, BMZ observes a philosophy that involves fundamental changes in the mentality and thinking of employees. By the system of "Lean Production" to date, BMZ operates fully all the production and 75% of the office.

Management

Bryansk Engineering Plant in the format in which it is now - is the credit of competent leadership. A new round of development at BMZ began thanks to the following people:

  • A.A. Vasilenko - Director General of BMZ since 2012.
  • TN. Sapego is a financial and economic director since 2012.
  • O.V. Kravchenko - director of the engineering center since 2012.
  • V.N. Vetoshko is director of marketing and sales areas since 2008. He started working at BMZ in 1996.
  • L.V. Kaikov is the production director since 2009. I went to BMZ from the turner to the director.
  • A.V. Vlasenko - Director of Quality since 2015. He has been working at the enterprise since 2004.
  • V.V. Leskov - Director of Equipment Operation since 2012. He works conscientiously at the plant since 2000. He started from the position of power engineer.
  • V.E. Cherenkov - Director of Security since 2004.
  • A.V. Krasovsky - Director of Personnel. In a post since 2015.
