Corrugated PVC pipes: description and purpose

In the process of work connected with wire routing, there is often a question: how to secure and protect the carrier? To ensure additional protection of both external and internal wiring of electrical, telephone, television and other networks, corrugated PVC pipes are often used. The smooth inner layer of the mentioned products, made of HDPE or PVD materials of light or heavy series, provides convenient cable laying, allowing replacement of the damaged wire without special difficulties.

The advantages of a flexible pipe

Flexible corrugated PVC pipe can be carried out concealed, that is, in the space of building structures. For example, inside the false ceilings and floors, as well as in the voids of the walls, which do not have combustible materials in their composition. Or outwardly. If the wiring is to be installed in a cement screed, then it is better to choose heavy and even superheavy pipes for such purposes. Due to the corrugated outer side they are able to withstand a considerable load. Pipes can be laid even under a concrete coating - in areas where high transport pressure is observed.

Gofra ensures the safety of the power line

Due to the material from which the products are made (self-extinguishing PVC-plastic), their dielectric strength shows rather high insulating properties: the ability to withstand a voltage of up to 1000 V. They also have the ability to extend the life of the wires, since any possibility of rubbing the wire inside the pipe is excluded. In addition, it provides protection against mechanical impact, ultraviolet rays and liquids. All of the above ensures uninterrupted network operation. To increase safety, it is necessary to observe certain standards during the installation of wiring: in one pipe, only network communication can be laid, and it is best to place them at some distance from each other. Corrugated PVC pipes are absolutely safe to use, since the material from which they are made does not emit harmful substances and is completely ecological. In addition, the mentioned products have a rather small weight and do not cause any inconvenience during transportation. Another advantage of using corrugated PVC pipes for wiring is their low cost.

Standard Pipe Packing

All corrugated PVC pipes are packed in coils of 15, 20, 25, 50 and 100 meters. At the same time, the tightness of the packaging is observed. The range of corrugated PVC pipes is represented by the dimensions of the outer and inner diameters. For example, a corrugated PVC pipe 20/14 means that its outer diameter is 20 mm and the inner diameter is 14 mm. They are packed in coils of 100 m. Corrugated pipes of the specified sizes are used, as a rule, when cables are routed to switches or sockets. Thanks to the broach, the steel cable, which is laid in the product in the factory, the corrugated PVC pipes greatly simplify the installation of cable lines and accelerate the installation process itself.
