But, despite this defeat, he continued his participation in the grand prix stage of K-1, in Barcelona, and very successfully.

In August 2004, he was invited to take part in the K-1 GP 2004 Battle of Bellagio II. However, he was injured - injured his knee in battle with South African fighter Ian Nortier, but despite this won the fight, although after he had to leave the tournament.

But on this his career did not stop. Already in 2005 he wins the victories in Milan and Lommel, at the Grand Prix K-1.

After successful participation in the Paris Grand Prix K-1, in 2006 he takes part in the Slovak tournament. This tournament was unsuccessful from the very beginning. The first opponent of Alexander Ustinov was Bjorn Breg, who inflicted a knee in the groin forbidden by the rules. The fight had to be stopped. By decision of the judges, the match was not held.
