Boris Klyuyev: biography, filmography and the actor's family

Boris Klyuyev is an actor of the old Soviet school. Like most of the representatives of this cohort, he passed his path to fame in full, without passing a single step. He began, despite the higher acting education, with the roles of mass and episodic. However, the actor achieved success, he is recognized and loved by the spectator.

Childhood

Studied at school Boris is not very diligent. The family was incomplete, the mother brought up her son alone, she was widowed early, she was very hard. The father served as an artist, died during the tour from a heart attack, when the boy was only four (in 1948). Mom dedicated her whole life to her son, she did not become more married. Like many of his Moscow peers, who grew up in the postwar years, were exposed to the notorious "influence of the street" and Boris Klyuyev. His biography could have been much less successful, if not for Claudia Polovikova, a wonderful actress from the Moscow Drama Theater, who once decided to stage a school play and noticed the budding young man. The role was suitable for the performer, "features of the first category" in "The Devil's Mill". Even then, an unusual and some "not our" appearance allocated a young man, and negative charm helped later in the profession that he chose. Needless to say, the schoolchildren who watched the performance liked the spectacle, and the performer of the "first-rate" priest served as a popular personality.

Admission to the Theater School

The young man had to start working early, right after school, and at the most simple working positions. To improve well-being, we had to do everything, for which we paid: digging the soil, square wearing, round rolling. My father once studied in the "Pike" (Shchukin Theater School), Boris Klyuev decided to follow his steps, successfully passed the exams, but the documents were not accepted due to the forthcoming call-up to the armed forces. Then the young man tried to become a student of "Shchepki" (Shchepkin College), but there the situation turned out to be similar. Three years in army boots and a pilot's cap did not go in vain, the young man grew stronger and matured, while not giving up his dream of becoming an actor.

Early years in art

In 1969 he still graduated from the school. M.S. Shchepkina and received a distribution to the Maly Theater. In the student years, there was also an acquaintance with the "magic world of cinema", although very approximate. The subtle episodes and extras of steel and school, and a way to earn extra money. Young actor Boris Klyuev glimpsed on the screen in the image of a French soldier ("War and Peace"), then a patrolman from the "Punisher" (affected appearance), then a reporter ("Red Tent"). Not always his name was even mentioned in the shooting galleries. Approximately the same was the situation on the theatrical stage: the third patient in the "Chamber", then the second policeman from the "Vanity Fair", then the second lord in the "Glass of Water". These wordless roles (or "It's served!", As their artists call themselves) at that time were an inevitable stage in the life of every young servant Melpomene, Boris Klyuyev did not see anything offensive about this either. His biography was enriched with interesting and serious works after the "summer residents", a play staged on the play by A.M. Gorky, where he was entrusted with the character of Zamyslov. He had to endure the whims of EA. Bystritskaya, the real star of the scene and the screen, but the reward was success and vast experience. The chief director of the Maly Theater, Varpakhovsky, believed in the talent of the young actor, and other interesting roles began to be trusted to him.

Cinema

In the seventies, Boris Klyuyev interested filmmakers exclusively as a holder of "foreign", "whiteguard" appearance, which corresponded to characters expressive, but most often negative. This is how the actor remembered for episodic roles in "The Collapse of the Empire", "Walking by the Flames" and some other films. In the next decade, the tradition of "hostility" was broken by Mycroft, the brother of Sherlock Holmes, whom it is impossible to attribute to villains. Interesting and convex turned out and Rochefort from the "Three Musketeers" Jungvald-Khilkevich. However, all these roles were second-rate and were memorized a little. But Trianon became a true example of negative charm.

"TASS is authorized ..." and the image of a spy

The telefilm-multiseries about the work of the Soviet counterintelligence KGB "TASS is authorized ..." caused great interest, especially since it was based on many events that took place in real life. Deciding to play a spy was not easy, the mentality of our viewer is such that he often associates the character with the actor-performer, but Boris Klyuyev understood that such an anti-hero will be remembered, and was not mistaken. Strangely enough, but it was the image of the traitor that raised the artist's popularity to unprecedented heights, especially among women. Some episodes were even cut from the picture so that they did not distract viewers from empathy with the courageous struggle of the Chekists with the secret intrigues of the imperialists. By the way, in this film the actor played two roles (actually a spy and a KGB officer, who in turn plays the role of a traitor). At the same time, the Chekist had to shoot longer for shooting time than a foreign agent.

Voice acting

There is another part of the acting profession, which Klyuev is engaged in. In it, it can also be defined as a "soldier of the invisible front". Foreign films need to be translated and sounded. Many characters of blockbusters and cartoons of foreign production speak the voice of Boris Klyuyev. Suffice it to mention King Triton of the Little Mermaid, Richie from Perfume and Boris Balkan from the 9th Gate to appreciate the artist's high level of skill in this difficult affair. In the wonderful film "Dogville", the voice-over also sounds him.

New Times

In Soviet times, any film at the design stage was repeatedly filtered through an ideological sieve. But the "all-seeing eye" did not miss some of the works, and then the finished film was put on the shelf. Despite this, very many works of those years can be safely called masterpieces. After the abolition of censorship, the audience expected a cultural splash. This did not happen, although now it was possible to shoot about everything.

The roles of Boris Klyuyev in criminal serials were performed at a high professional level, but the material itself, which is called "did not pull." He was accompanied by a general's uniform, and this was used many times in Kamenskaya, Slepom, Krasinsky's Protection, Nine Unknowns and other pictures about which hardly anyone will remember in ten years. The special popularity of Boris Klyuev acquired, starring in the "Voronin". Despite the fact that he was not a teenager , the actor became an idol for young people, especially young girls. Having met him on the street, they do not believe in happiness to breathe with the artist in the same air, to be close to him, to prove the reality of this fact they ask to be photographed together or give an autograph. They shout: "Look, this is Klyuev himself!" Boris Vladimirovich does not deny these young creatures, although he himself refers to this "clavishness" with a fair amount of irony. The price of multi-series "masterpieces" a real artist, brought up on classics, certainly knows. But the accusations of "omnivorousness" the actor does not accept categorically. After all, the artist has such a craft, to play in the movies, and consequently, if someone does not like it, then you can not watch. And claims should be made not to actors, but to filmmakers and producers.

Finance

To sell his work to the artist is difficult. It turns out that an artist, a musician or a painter should praise himself, and that's not everyone can do. Payment for actor's work is very unique. Playing in a simple serial, you can earn quite well, while the daily grueling work in the theater is valued not higher than the work of a middle manager in a large firm, and even more modestly. Teaching in the theater school is also far from being a sinecure. There were attempts to deceive the actor, sometimes successful. In order to avoid misunderstandings with quotations and calculations, actor Boris Klyuev hired an agent. This wonderful woman takes care of settling all the controversial issues and does not allow deception of her esteemed client.

Personal life behind the scenes

Boris Klyuev, whose family has always been, in his own words, "behind the scenes," does not like to discuss his personal life. Find your "second half" actor failed with the third attempt. To great regret, the actor's son died young, at the age of 23. The wife of Boris Klyuev, Victoria, has nothing to do with theater and cinema, she is a former sportswoman. The acquaintance took place long ago, almost four decades ago, on a visit. First there was a spiritual intimacy, Boris and Victoria often talked and understood that in their views on life issues there is much in common. Then there was a strong feeling, two divorces and one marriage, which turned out to be so successful that it continues to this day. Spouses live very amicably and spend all their free time together.
