Biblical parables with interpretation. Biblical Parables for Children

Biblical parables are very important for a believer. They are especially needed for the younger generation, when the formation of morality, relations, values and perception of the world is taking place. Of course, an adult can learn a lot from them in himself.

What are parables and what is their value?

Biblical parables are, in a way, fairy tales and narratives that give reason to reflect on life and their actions, carry a cautionary moment in themselves. In each of them there is a grain of wisdom, which slowly sprouts and gives its positive shoots. Constant reading of such narratives has a complex effect on the inner world of man.

The value of the parable of the Bible is that it treats human relationships and actions from the point of view of spirituality, divinity. Other similar stories are more human, they do not have that aura of mystery, although they can be no less ancient and instructive.

For the younger generation, it is the biblical parables that can become the first acquaintance with faith, God, Christ. In the future, it can help them in the spiritual life, teach them how to build their way the way the Lord orders, to act conscientiously, to think about their soul and its further journey.

Biblical parables. What do they teach?

What do the biblical parables teach us? They force you to think about your actions, to understand their consequences. As a result of all this awareness, positive qualities are emerging, such as charity, kindness, compassion, love for people. There comes an understanding that there is God's will for everything.

For an adult, a parable can become a guiding star at a certain point in life, as well as a sign and an answer to a question. In addition, they are simple enough, they do not have flowery, which is not understandable to everyone. On the wisdom of these edifying stories, you can really speak very much.

Biblical Parables for Children

If we talk about small admirers of biblical stories, then it should be noted that not all of them will be able to comprehend the truth of the divine scriptures. And, of course, they will need a good interpretation and explanation of what they read. Biblical parables for children must be read with parents or educators, which are available to explain what the kid because of his age could not understand.

Almost every child, having grown up, applies in life what was given to him with love in his childhood. Therefore, it is not necessary to push this knowledge by force, so as not to turn it away from the Lord.

You should try different subjects of stories, see what you like more. For example, there is a group of parables about the mercy of God to a sincerely repentant person (the prodigal son, the publican and the Pharisee, etc.). There are also several stories about the Kingdom of God (about the mustard seed, the tares, etc.).

The biblical parable of the virgins of the wise and unreasonable

If we consider some of the biblical parables, we can distinguish among them some of the most instructive. For example, the one that tells of ten virgins, five wise and five unreasonable. The meaning of this parable is that one should be vigilant constantly, for it is not known when the last test (death or Last Judgment) will come.

This symbolic story depicted a wedding ceremony, which was at that time among the Jews. Such a ritual took place at night, when it was dark and artificial light was needed. The groom could come for the bride at any time, and she had to wait for him with her friends. Therefore, the girls were stocked with oil, if suddenly you have to wait a long time.

In Christianity, the marriage feast always symbolized the Kingdom of God, and the bridegroom is the Lord with whom they unite after death. The edification of the parable is that every moment in your life you need to live consciously, to know that every action will be evaluated in God's court. Remember that when the bridegroom comes and the hall closes (death comes), then nothing will be changed.

Of course, the child needs such biblical parables with the interpretation of an adult and a knowledgeable person. Also, we should gradually talk about the deep spiritual sense of this story, about building our own life in God.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son

This is perhaps the most famous and instructive of all the biblical parables. A truly repentant sinner can hope for mercy to be forgiven, even after doing bad deeds.

The biblical parable of the prodigal son is a classic example of the return to the path of the spirituality of a person who is lost in a dissolute and meaningless life. It is also an example of the behavior of modern youth, which does not know the true path, but seeks freedom, leaving the parental home and from its roots. As a result of all this, there are more and more young people who are not interested in their past, and their future also does not care. All this affects the overall development, as one particular person, and society as a whole.

Prodigal son from the parable - this is almost every one of us, divorced from God, from his protection, squandered his state not only physically but spiritually.

However, God not only punishes, but also bestows with favors. As a father who forgave his repentant son, so the Lord behaves towards sinners. Everyone can return to the path to God. It is this parable that allows us to hope for a more meaningful and full life.

Proverbs about mustard seed

This parable is mentioned in the three Gospels, which speaks of its undoubted importance. Of course, the spelling varies a little, but the general meaning is preserved.

The story itself is not too great, but its meaning is huge and very important. Mustard seed is the faith of a person who is cultivated in his heart through conversation with the Lord, prayer and other worthy deeds. At first the grain is small, but after certain actions and finding in fertile soil it grows into a large tree.

Some wise men compare this seed to Christ, who was also an ordinary man, but his faith was so great that he could give a great sacrifice for us, ordinary people. And now they come to him who suffer from the soul and find solace.

Cartoons on the Biblical theme

For small children, who prefer to watch, and not read the biblical parables, cartoons will be a way out. Of course, even they need to be looked at with adults, so that difficult moments can be explained. Perhaps, if in an incomprehensible place there is an appeal to a printed source, the child will want to read it, since the cartoon may differ slightly from the original.

Now almost all the parables are broadcast on television in the form of cartoons. Here, every parent should choose a suitable one, which is closer to the original and contains instructive moments.

Of course, some may not agree with the use of the cartoon, but it is still worth taking into account the current rising generation. It's not always possible to exclude watching TV or a computer, so it's better to pick up a more suitable TV program for your baby from a young age.
