Alina Talai: biography and sporting achievements

Alina Talai is a famous sportswoman from Belarus, participant and prize-winner of the World Championship.

Childhood and youth

Alina was born in March 1989 in the Byelorussian SSR. She grew up quite an active child, and so the parents decided to give the daughter to the sports section. They decided that she needed to practice athletics. The future sportswoman did not resist and was happy to visit the sports section.

After some time, the coaches noticed that the girl stands out against the background of her peers. Since then, she began to pay a little more attention than the rest.

Alina Talai successfully performed at children's and youth competitions in the domestic arena. Time passed, and the girl gradually began to run professionally.

Youth career

At nineteen she went to her first competitions, which took place outside her native Belarus. It was the youth world championship. In the success of the athlete few believed, but she managed to qualify for the final. Unfortunately, in the finals she took only fourth place. Despite this result, the girl continued to work hard.

A year later, she went to the European Championships. Alina once again came to the tournament as a "dark horse". Despite everything, Alina returned home with a bronze award.

In 2011, Alina Talai participates in the European Youth Championship for the last time and this time wins a gold medal. Thus, in twenty-two years Alina won her first serious award.

It is worth noting that as early as 2011, she participated in the World War Games and won a 100 meter distance with barriers.

Adult career

In 2012, Tallay goes to Turkey, where the World Indoor Championships are held. The runner takes the third place at a distance of sixty meters with barriers. In the same year, the athlete becomes the second at the European Championships.

The year of 2013 was not too successful for a young athlete. She won only a silver medal at the Universiade, which was held in Russia.

In the spring of 2015, Alina became European champion at a distance of 60 meters with barriers, and literally a few months later she won bronze at the World Championships in China. Belarus also performed at the Olympic Games in London at a distance of 100 meters with barriers, but left the tournament at the semifinal stage. She also participated in the relay, where the Belarusian team lost in the first round.

Unfortunately, the Olympics brought disappointment: Alina Talai did not win anything. Photos and videos from those competitions show the whole heat of passion and the way the sportswoman tried, but, to the disappointment of the fans, she did not win. But to her credit, later, during numerous interviews with journalists, she did not seek excuses, but she honestly admitted that she was not ready enough for the competition.
