"Afluton" means (instruction for use indicates) is a bioactive concentrate made from small marine fish, Black Sea puddle, whiting, anchovy. Active components include keratan sulfate, polypeptides, hyaluronic acid, mucopolysaccharides, chondroitin sulfate, amino acids. The drug includes potassium, sodium, zinc, magnesium, copper ions, macro- and microelements. Produced in the form of a solution for injection. There are no structural analogues. Similar drugs, which correct the metabolism of bone and cartilaginous tissue, are drugs "Calcitonin", "Osteohin", "Arthrin", "Zometa", "Rumalon" and others.

Pharmacological properties

The drug "Afluton" has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Chondroprotective action is to reduce the activity of enzymes, which destroy the matrix between cells. With regular use of the drug, the quality of the synovial fluid is improved . This is due to a decrease in the activity of hyaluronidase and accelerated reproduction of hyaluronic acid.

The medicine does not allow to break down the structure of articular cartilage, raises trophism in them and speeds up the reparative processes. The medication restores the synthesis of prostaglandins in gastrointestinal pathologies, reduces the epithelization time of ulcerative and erosive defects during peptic ulcer treatment. In addition, the use of chanodroprotector promotes the compaction of capillaries, reducing their permeability.

Indications for use

The Afluton medication is recommended for use in the treatment of degenerative and dystrophic joint lesions. It is used for osteoarthritis of limb joints, parodontopathy, fibromyalgia, coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, spondylosis, and also during recovery after joint surgery.

With osteochondrosis and polyostoarthrosis, intramuscular injection is performed. The daily dose is 1 ml. The course of treatment includes 20 injections. After three months, the remedy should be re-pierced. When joints are damaged, the solution is injected into the bones of 1-2 ml. Between the procedures are observed a three-day break. Six injections are administered to each joint. After six months, the treatment is repeated.
