Abu Dhabi - a combination of East and West

It is difficult to imagine that among the dry rivers, lifeless deserts, a beautiful, clean and gardened city can grow. The capital of the UAE - Abu Dhabi - amazes with its wealth, modernity, the ability to combine the culture and traditions of its people with the current technological progress. In this city the past, the present and the future are skilfully intertwined. Old buildings and mosques neighbor with high business centers. Everywhere the cleanliness and order reign, a huge number of green plantations amaze imagination, and densely set fountains of various forms will not allow to die from the heat even on the most hot day.

Abu Dhabi - the most populated of the emirates, it is not surprising, because of the beauty and high standard of living with him can only be compared with Al Ain. The creators of the city had to work hard, because only the maintenance of the viability of the gardens is worth it, each bush, a tree, a flower bed is irrigated, desalination plants are used for this purpose. The most luxurious buildings are concentrated near the coastline, rich buildings are also located on the streets of the sheikhs Hamdan, Khalifa and Zayed, they are all parallel to each other.

In this Muslim city there are a lot of mosques that are even in the vicinity. But there is also one very unusual sight - a huge mosque in Abu Dhabi, built by Sheikh Zayed. It is one of the largest Muslim shrines in the world. A mosque can collect more than 40 thousand believers at the same time under the arches, it is decorated with a thousand columns, 82 domes, chandeliers, the largest handmade carpet, gilding, gold leaf. The first service was the burial of the monarch - Sheikh Zayed. The building is surrounded by pools, the mirror-like surface of which gives the mystery mosque. A peculiar lighting system floods the dazzling moonlight building, and in the afternoon it bathes in the sun.

For three centuries Abu Dhabi has been ruled by the Al Kazimi family, and it does so very successfully. The city has increased significantly over the past two decades due to the restructuring of nearby villages. The center of the capital of the UAE is closer to the bay, but industrial districts stretch far to the east and north to deserts. Modern supermarkets and business centers with ancient mosques, eastern markets and museums coexist peacefully in Abu Dhabi. Also there are centers of arts and culture, museums, educational institutions.

The foundation of the city is dedicated to a very beautiful legend. Once the hunters met the hunters, and they chased after it. The animal ran for a long time in the desert, leaving no hope of escaping from the pursuers, until it ran out to the coast of the Persian Gulf. Then the gazelle rushed into the water, but did not drown, but found a ford and went to the island, the hunters pursued her on their heels, so they were very surprised when the victim brought them to a source of fresh water. People did not kill the animal, but they founded a settlement here, which was called the father of gazelles, which sounds like Abu Dhabi.

Photos of the capital of the United Arab Emirates impress with its beauty, a combination of the West and the East. But only after visiting here, having plunged into the atmosphere, having learned the culture and traditions of the people, one can understand how beautiful this city is.
