History of Masonry

The emergence of this secret organization dates back to the late Middle Ages. In those days, shop guilds were reluctant to share the secrets of their craftsmanship. One of the most closed societies was the shop of builders. They called themselves Masons. In translation, this word means "masons, builders". By the end of the sixteenth century, professional builders in the ranks of the Masons were getting smaller, and in their place aristocrats and big bourgeoisie came. From the old guilds they inherited a whole system of secret symbols and signs, according to which they could identify their fellow organization. The first Masonic Lodge

In 1717, the first Masonic society officially announced itself, having formed a grand lodge in the UK. The influence and wealth of this organization was very great. The principles of the Masonic movement

The basic principles of this worldwide secret brotherhood are set forth in the book of sacred laws, which must be present at every meeting of the brotherhood. Its main points are as follows:

- the great Lodge is the union of all the lies of the state, which share the general rules of this brotherhood;

- all persons who are interested in becoming Masons, for the purpose of entering this fraternity, must be adults of full age, secured, free people of liberal views;

- Discussion of political and religious issues between members of society is prohibited;

- every member of the secret brotherhood should not put the ideas of the Masonic movement above their duties in relation to God, the family and the state.

Initiation into Masons

The absolute majority of Christian movements do not share the principles of the Masonic movement and urge believers not to join secret societies.
