Russia is rich in Christian sights. Historical Past of the Temple

The Church of the Archangel Michael in Troparevo was erected several times. The original wooden building was lost during the fire. At the end of the seventeenth century, it was decided to erect a stone cathedral in honor of Michael. Its construction was completed in 1694. The stone temple was built at the expense of the Novodevichy monastery, in which the village of Troparevo also entered.

During the Patriotic War with Napoleon (1812) the temple was damaged. The French troops retreated precisely along the road near the Orthodox church. But the damage was not very significant. Only eleven years later, in 1823, finished his repair after the war.

1939 was the most disappointing for the Christian lot. It was in the thirties that Soviet infidels inflicted more damage on the building than the troops of Napoleon. The temple of Archangel Michael in Troparevo was closed, all the valuable property was taken apart, the fence of the church was destroyed, the most beautiful bells were dropped from the belfry, and only one of them managed to be returned in time, which by miracle managed to save the faithful of the village of Troparevo.

In the forties in the Orthodox Church kept the grain. In 1960, the building served as a warehouse for the scenery of the Russian "Mosfilm". From 1964 to 1970, the Church of the Archangel Michael in Troparev was restored outside and inside by the specialists of Mosoblrestavratsii.

In 1988, Russia celebrated the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, and on such a significant date the government transferred the temple to the beginning of the Moscow Patriarchate. Already with the new parish, a library, a Sunday school and kiosks for the sale of church supplies and accessories were erected.
