Having developed a new Picnic, the Japanese maximally brought it closer to European standards.

The engine has also been updated: now its working volume is 2.4 liters instead of the previous two. This change gave more power to the engine, with fuel consumption remaining almost the same.

All minivans were manned with a full drive, which is important for long trips, especially for nature. The instrument panel was almost not subjected to any changes - all the same design of the simplest configuration remained. Auto does not differ very much in elegant forms, but it looks pretty decent. In the cabin there are cup holders, an ashtray and a cigarette lighter. Two sets of minivans were produced by Toyota Picnic: the left rudder was intended for export to Europe, and the right one - for daily trips around Japan.

Cars of the second generation were mass-produced only a year, after which Picnic was removed from production. He replaced a new car - Toyota Avensis Verso.
