Too high walls of the hearth do not necessarily - 30-40 cm is enough. After the skirts are ready, and the mortar is fully seized, you can start pouring concrete bottom. For strength, it should be reinforced with a metal rod or mesh.

After pouring the bottom should be located at a depth of about 15 cm from the ground level. In this case, the outdoor fire center will be much easier to clean. You can even slightly raise its bottom above the surface of the soil. However, in this case, of course, it is necessary to build much higher walls. It is also not bad to put benches near this kind of fireplace - ordinary or semicircular (depending on the shape of the hearth).

BBQ or BBQ?

A beautifully laid out street fireplace can become a real decoration of the country plot. But agree that much more respectable in the courtyards of country cottages or residential houses look great mangal or barbecue, laid out of bricks.

The erection of the barbecue

After the concrete foundation is ripe (at least two weeks), you can start assembling the brazier itself. Laying should be conducted with bandaging the joints in half a brick. The stone is laid on three walls. They should be located strictly at right angles to each other.

After the walls have been raised to a height of about 70-80 cm, one row of bricks needs to be slightly moved deep into the brazier. The bottom of the brazier made of thick metal will subsequently be laid on the resulting support. Further laid out two more rows of bricks - this will be the walls of the brazier. Ahead, above the "empty" place laying on the steel corners.

In principle, it is possible to finish the work on erecting a stove for shish kebabs. Learned in this way, an open mangal dacha will be quite easy to use. However, it is still necessary to lay three of its walls at a height of 80 cm and cover the resulting structure with a cone-shaped or pyramidal tin chimney. The latter can be bent on its own or purchased at the store.

Features of erection of a barbecue

The brick fireplace in the street is assembled according to the same principle as the brazier. However, in this case, two more are laid out at a certain distance from the two parallel walls of the structure (to the height of the bottom of the brazier or just below).

Subsequently, metal sheets are installed between them and the furnace itself. In one of the resulting table tops, a hole is made for the sink. Above the brazier in the barbecue is usually additionally hung a bar-grill.
