Fruit salad - tasty vitamin dessert

From the history of cooking it follows that the first salads were invented by the Romans for their feasts, which included, among others, dishes from vegetables and herbs, dressed with vinegar and honey.

But when the first fruit salad appeared, the story is modestly silent. Most likely this happened during the times of our grandparents Adam and Eve, who tasted the forbidden fruit.

Fruit salad is a mixture of a variety of fresh fruits, crushed into small pieces. Usually served chilled as a dessert, crowning any meal, whether it's a dinner party or a romantic dinner. And what an amazing treat for children! What can be tastier and more useful, because fruits are vitamins in kind, which give us vitality!

Today, the fruit salad on our table includes not only the fruits that grow in our region, but also the already exotic fruits that have become habitual : oranges, kiwi, bananas, pineapple, etc. The composition of the ingredients may vary depending on the season and taking into account the compatibility of the fruits. To prepare a salad any hostess needs only to include imagination and an unusual fruit "composition" will be born.

A traditional fruit salad consists of an apple, an orange, a pear, a dessert banana. As the ingredients, grape seedless, mandarin, watermelon, melon, apricot, peach are also used. Sprinkle the salad with sugar, ordinary or brown, or add honey. To give a taste, use raisins, ground almonds or hazelnuts. To preserve the fresh fruit and add freshness, add the lemon juice. A small amount of cognac, rum or liquor will give a special note to the salad.

Season salads and creams - creamy, chocolate, nutty, custard. And if you still decorate these culinary delicacies with elaborately carved slices of lemon or orange, you get amazing fruit desserts.

Recipes, examples:

  • Cut the smallest cubes of the most affordable fruit: orange, apple, banana, kiwi pour fruit yogurt.
  • To cleaned and cut into cubes 4 kiwi and 1 small pineapple add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and walnuts, vanilla sugar from 2 sachets and fill with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and fruit syrup.
  • Cut into cubes 2 apples, banana, orange, 4 apricots (you can use canned apricots or dried apricots), add 2 tablespoons of nuts. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar, pour 2 spoons of liquor or lemon juice. Season with sour cream or yoghurt.

Guests can be offered here a fruit salad with yoghurt, which is appropriate and as an appetizer for martini and other drinks. We cut (on one piece) mango, kiwi, apple, banana (it lastly, before serving on the table, so as not to blacken and become soft). We put it into serving plates or kremanki. We pour the dressing, which is prepared separately: in a blender, whip 1 cup of fat-free yogurt, 1 teaspoon of orange peel and 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice. You can and honey -1 spoon. Sprinkle all the shredded nuts.

Other fruit desserts, whose recipes include cream, are equally popular. A vivid example of one of these is a truly heavenly treat - a strawberry with whipped cream.

The following recipe is suitable for a holiday:

It will require 1 can of pineapple (canned, slices), 1 banana and orange, a glass of cranberry mors, 2 kiwi and peach, 3 grapes and whipped cream.

In 3 kremanki, without mixing, decompose pineapples, banana slices, pieces of peach, thin semicircular orange, kiwi slices. Equally pour pineapple compote and mors. Topped with whipped cream and grapes. It remains to wish: a pleasant appetite!
