A box of plasterboard on the ceiling. Installation of the gypsum board box

A gypsum cardboard box on the ceiling is considered one of the most common concealment options for various communications. Often, ventilation and pipes spoil the appearance of the room, speaking not very carefully. It often happens that some elements do not allow you to bring a suspended ceiling of plasterboard or simple wallpaper to the edge of the wall. How to hide the interfering communications? We will go further.

General information

So, the task is quite clear. Mounting the suspended ceiling from gypsum board, it is necessary to create a special design. It will allow to mask the pipes sticking out of the walls without sanitary intervention. The plasterboard box on the ceiling will eventually be attached as a second level, or rather its fragment. Many owners, who do not have much experience in finishing, think that the whole process will be fraught with certain difficulties. However, experts assure that the installation of the gypsum board box is quite simple. Cope with it is quite possible, without having special special skills and sophisticated equipment. Very effective will look a box of plasterboard with a backlight. In this case, the design will not only hide communications, but will also become an original decorative element. In some areas of the apartment the availability of such an element is not at hand. So, for example, often make a box of drywall in the toilet. Constructions are also relevant in the kitchen. Install a plasterboard box in the bathroom. In this case, it must be remembered that in this room humidity is almost always increased. In this regard, the plasterboard box in the bathroom needs to be designed using moisture resistant sheets.

Preparation

Before assembling the gypsum board, you need to protect the pipes. They are covered with a primer and stained. So the elements will be protected from the spread of rust, which, undoubtedly, will prolong their operational life. The ceiling itself should also be prepared. This mainly applies to the holes near the pipes - they must be sealed. To do this, you can use mounting foam and plaster. Further steps can be taken after this "rough finish" has dried .

Frame

Regardless of where the plasterboard box will be installed - in a toilet, kitchen, etc. - it is necessary to first design a reliable crate. For the frame, you will need a profile for modeling (CD-60). It is used to create non-standard structural elements. The profile must be rigid, but at the same time self-tapping screws should be easily screwed into it. In addition, you need a Bulgarian and pliers. From the profile it is necessary to cut off the necessary piece. The calculation is as follows: the distance from the main to the suspended ceiling is taken plus 7 cm to the bend. On the edges of the profile, cuts of about 40 mm are made on one side, then the petals are bent to the sides. They drilled holes for screws (small diameter). The central part should be cut off. On the other hand, you need to make cuts of 50 mm on each face.

Mounting

It is more expedient to carry out further actions in order.

Checking the horizontal level, the UD-profile is screwed to the wall. It should be located exactly on the bottom edge of the future box. In accordance with the marking, the brackets are fixed to the screws. The distance between the fixing elements is 60 cm. The edge of the plasterboard that will be attached to the pipe will subsequently be attached to the CD-profile. Next, from the profile element, you need to cut a piece with perpendicular edges. Its length is 160 mm. This piece is inserted one end into the UD profile. The other edge is fixed with screws on the bracket. The profile of the CD-60 is fixed to the suspended hangers. At the end, the frame is covered with sheets of GVL using conventional technology.

The second way

A big problem in many kitchens is the ventilation system. It can be hidden in a gypsum board. On the ceiling and walls you need to put a marking in the places of fixing the structure. Taking into account the thickness of the sheets, it is necessary to fix the guide profiles (27x28 mm). Then you need to drill holes in the ceiling. Their diameter is about 6 mm. The guides are fixed to the dowel-nails. Further, using scissors for metal, it is necessary to cut from a profile of a suspension of 60х27 mm. Here you need to be careful and do not overdo it. The size of the hangers depends on the dimensions of the box. Fixation of elements should be carried out to the guide using self-tapping screws. Then the profile forming the bottom edge of the future box is fixed. The guide must not have kinks. All its parts should be located from the ceiling at the same distance. The design, which eventually turns out, will, among other things, level the corner. In this regard, all measurements should be made as accurately as possible.

Additions

The finished design will give lighting. As an additional decor, you can use spotlights. In advance (before the carcass cladding with sheets of GVL), it is necessary to identify the places where the wires will pass and fix them there. Cables should not interfere with the installation of the box. Then cut the transverse guides and insert into the frame. Elements are mounted perpendicular to the wall and fixed with screws. Then the whole structure is fixed. First check the bottom of the box. After that, the sheets of drywall are cut to the elements in accordance with the dimensions. For cutting material, you can use a conventional mounting blade with removable blades. Immediately before fixing the skin, you need to carefully examine everything again - whether any wires remained unguided. Otherwise it will be necessary then to disassemble the whole construction and assemble again. In the sheets GVL holes are drilled for the diameter of the luminaires. Then the casing is fixed, the wires are output. At the end of the installation, the lamps themselves are fixed.

Finishing

When the gypsum board is fixed to the ceiling, all further actions are taken by each owner at their own discretion. As a finishing finish, you can use plastering with decorative composition, painting, wallpapering. Before applying the coating, the surface is shpatlyuetsya. Joints are glued with reinforcing film. In general, assembly and installation does not take much time.

Design selection

On gipsokartonnye planes are applied volumetric drawings in the form of regular or irregular polygons or colors. In addition, you can pick up electric bulbs of different color shades. Most of the ceiling can be made in blue or green. Using wallpaper and other improvised materials, you can depict at the top - on an ordinary flat surface - real works of art, the plot of which is close to the interior design of the room. Modern trends suggest the use of a variety of elements in which straight lines are excluded. These components include wave-like components, curvilinear segments. It is quite fashionable and therefore, broken abstract lines are considered very common.

Important points

When drawing up a preliminary sketch, it is necessary to take into account the height to which each level will fall. As practice shows, in the process of designing the first tier the plane is lowered 3-6 cm from the main overlap, the second - 10 cm from the first level. If the ceilings are even, then as the first tier directly stands the slab - the old base. An important point is to determine the location of the bulbs. After sketching the sketch, it is necessary to make some measurements. They are also transferred to the drawing. It is also important to indicate on the sketch areas where the profiles for the crate and the suspension will be located. The technical plan shows the required dimensions.
