In the design of many machines and apparatus, the problem of connecting peripheral devices with a container filled with liquid or gas is solved by connecting flexible hoses.

A vivid example of a hydromechanical scheme can be the braking system of any modern car. The driver, having decided to stop the car, presses the pedal. This force is transmitted through the brake pipe fitting and connecting hose to the cylinder, its piston is deflected and the position of the shoes is changed. Hoses are connected to the rigid elements of the system by means of adapters, on which the threaded connections are screwed .

Connecting element of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

A pipe is a branch pipe (often of the bushing type) of short length with threaded threads (internal or often external). One of its ends is hermetically connected to a container filled with liquid or gas. It is designed to connect flexible hoses or rigid tubes, provided with a suitable threaded receiving unit, providing the necessary seal and no leakage. Sometimes various additional materials are used to improve the sealing during screwing.

Similarly, the gas fitting works. It is installed on cylinders with liquefied propane, after which it is not difficult to connect a plate in the country kitchen to them.

Pneumatic schemes of automation, devices for opening and closing doors in public transport and other systems, including duct flexible ducts, do not do without such an important connecting element as a choke.

Weapons

In its original meaning, the word "choke" is the designation of the class of small arms. Since the XVI century, direct-shot rifles of this type were armed infantry of different countries, including Russia. Unlike obsolete by that time samples, the choke had a number of advantages, among which a smaller weight, better accuracy of combat and compactness, expressed in a shorter trunk. Obviously, therefore, cut pipes were named after rifles. Some modern hunting rifles are called fittings today.

To such a persistent request, it is worth listening to the overly curious representatives of the underworld, especially if it comes from an authoritative criminal.
