Xenophobia is not the plague of modern Russia?

It is interesting to realize that 9 out of 10 young people making up the future of Russia may not know who wrote War and Peace, but they will certainly answer the question of what xenophobia is. Is this not an excuse for thinking about the direction in which the thoughts of the majority are directed, in what area is it really important for them to be knowledgeable.

Turning to the dictionaries, we note that xenophobia is a fear of the unknown, a fear of someone else's and inaccessible to our understanding. Strange as it may seem, even now, in the age of globalization and confusion of cultures, young people carefully guard their created world without letting in progress and not allowing tactics and tolerance for other people to enter this circle.

Xenophobia is, more specifically, hostility towards foreigners, fear of outsiders and their rejection. Indeed, xenophobes are called those who do not accept strangers for their equals, albeit not because of hatred, but thanks to the grown tight mentality. It was in the USSR that the authorities tried to do everything to make the population in Russia wary of citizens of other countries. Almost everyone knows that others were called spies.

Thus, xenophobia is more a relic of the past than a modern trend. However, in my opinion, the imposition of this worldview and the construction of it at the forefront leads to enormous results - young people support the opposition, while believing that it acts in accordance with time. But only time dictates the continuity of foreign cultures, the adoption of a different point of view and the finding of a compromise.

Continuing the theme of xenophobia, it is necessary to single out one of its known types - racism. In Russia, on every corner, in any telecast, one can face hostility towards other races, ethnoses (ethnophobia) and much more. Every day, the authorities are developing projects to combat illegal social manifestations, but, apparently, punishment is not something terrible for people who accepted such a belief.

Yes, I did not make a reservation, it was faith. On the Internet, you can even find several books describing the type of activity, the main goal and mission of radical organizations. Racism in Russia goes all the way, and it seems to me blatant cases of oppression of football players, throwing them bottles and saying hard words to them. In my opinion, sports achievements should not be associated with race.

Racism, if viewed from the point of view of history, results from subordination and slavery. And, although formally with him there is an uncompromising struggle, in fact, there is a flourishing of groups in Russia that support unauthorized methods of informing the masses of their own opinion.

So, in the Russian Federation, a widespread organization of Russian nationalists, which by their actions produced a real explosion of indignation and condemnation, but, in addition, admiration. Already, many young people are eager to do something like this either together with this movement, or creating their own. The most popular groups similar to the BORN are now the Russian Shield and the AGS (Autonomous Resistance Group).

The fighting organization of the Russian nationalists has already become famous for cardinal measures to fight against persons of other nationalities who somehow did not please the Russian population. Certainly, it is impossible to unequivocally assess the actions of these young people, because in some situations they punished those whom justice refused to even seek. Another thing is that the phrase "everyone should be avenged by any means" does not meet the democratic canons. But where, tell me, you can find support and retribution, as not radicals.

There is no doubt that they act cruelly and not humanly, cutting their heads and posting photos on the Internet, but they are trying to make a judgment in this way, because sometimes ordinary people simply can not wait for justice. Is not it?
