Worms under the skin. Where did this disease come from?

Parasitology studies various types of helminthic invasions that can appear in any part of the human body. The fact that there was such an unpleasant body inside, depresses literally all patients. Nevertheless, worms are invisible to the naked eye, so many do not know about their existence. Worms cause disgust in most people, so when they are found under the skin of a man, doctors around the world have raised a real panic. Some time ago, information on a previously unknown disease appeared on television. Its main manifestation are worms under the skin. Such an unpleasant situation was noted already in several large countries of the world. Earlier intradermal parasitization was known only in India, and this disease differs from the present not only by the causative agent, but also by symptoms.

Worms under the skin: the opinion of specialists

Various sources put forward several versions regarding the etiology of the disease. Parasitologists call this pathology dyrofilariasis. In addition to the human pathogen was found in pets, in particular in dogs. Diphilaria is transferred by a transmissible route, through mosquito bites. These insects swallow the parasite's larvae along with the blood of the animal or human. There are 2 types of pathogens: Dirofilaria repens and immitis. The first is manifested only as worms under the skin. The second parasitizes in internal organs, causing severe complications. Currently, a person has met only Dirofilaria repens, which is less dangerous to life. In the people there are synonyms of the disease, such as "living" or "evil thread".

Morgelone virus

According to other sources, the worm under the human skin is a manifestation of another mysterious pathology, the causative agent of which is an unknown virus or fungus. Scientists claim that she came from France and was named after the people who were struck for the first time - Morgelon's disease. After that, the pathology covered the US and Western Europe, and then the whole world. Common among both theories is that the disease affects people with significantly reduced immunity.

Symptoms of pathology

Despite the fact that the etiology is not fully understood, the signs of the disease are the same. The main manifestation of dirofilariasis, like the Morgelon virus, is the worms under the skin. They appear prominently on various parts of the body, they can move freely from one site to another. First, patients take the parasite for a voluminous formation, but when it moves, they become horrified, realizing that there is someone alive in their skin. Usually only one pathogen enters the body, but in rare cases, several larvae can penetrate at once. If this disease is a mysterious Morgelon's disease, then, in addition to discomfort under the skin, the patient experiences severe itching and pain in the area where the worm lives. This patch of skin begins to become inflamed, swamped, bleeds. After this ulcerative skin defects are formed, and the pathogen looks for a new place for destruction.

Treatment of the disease

At present, there is no definite answer to the question of how to get rid of this disease. Nevertheless, the worms living under the human skin must be destroyed. Parasitologists argue that surgical intervention in this case is irrational due to the ability of the pathogen to move. In their opinion, the disease must be treated conservatively, having an effect directly on the dirofilaria. Scientists tending to fungal etiology, advise appropriate therapy. The action of various drugs is under study. Nevertheless, thanks to antifungal agents, Morgelon's disease is gradually weakening, the areas of the affected skin become smaller. Information on the recurrence of pathology at the moment there.
