early years

Williams Robin was born in 1951 in the famous city of Chicago. His father worked in the business sector, in particular, he was in charge of one of the branches of the Ford automobile company. The future actor's mother was a model.

Already at school, Robin was distinguished by an uncommon sense of humor and the ability to be ridiculous. The boy quickly gained popularity: he was the president of the class, he was a member of the school of freestyle wrestling and football.

However, Williams did not immediately realize that he wanted to be an actor. After school, he went to the men's college to study political science. A little later I got into a school of improvisations and realized that he manages to do it. Then Williams became a regular at the College of Theater Arts.

His professor - Mr. Jim Dunn - noticed the outstanding talent of the youngster and invited him to several theatrical productions, which he put together with his students. Finally, in 1973, Williams went to New York with a view to seriously tackling dramatic art.

Carier start

In the early 70's, Williams Robin began his acting career, performing in the genre of Stand-up. Predominantly, Williams found his audience in small clubs. And already in 1977, Robina notices the television producer, who invites him to television, to his program.

In 1978, a fateful event occurred: director Panni Marshall saw a comedian's performance in a nightclub and invited him to his comedy series. So Williams made his debut in the movie in the multi-series film "Happy Days." Robin's game won the viewer. Therefore, the producers later created for the actor a separate show - "Mork and Mindy." So the story of deafening success for the comic from Stand-up began.

In 1979, the photo of the actor already flaunted on the cover of Time magazine and Rolling Stone. Until the 80's, Williams was filmed mostly in serials, and in the "big" movie got only sporadically. Robin's first serious work in full-length was the role of a sailor in the film "Papay". With a budget of $ 20 million and an uncomplicated plot, this film grossed $ 60 million at the box office only thanks to the comic's talent. Next were "The World of Harp", "The School of Survival" and "Moscow on the Hudson". But important roles were only ahead.

A creative breakthrough

Films with Robin Williams attracted the viewer. By the end of the 80's, the actor became "snapped up".

In 1987, he starred in the movie "Good Morning, Vietnam." For the role of DJ-pacifist Williams was first nominated for an Oscar. In 1989, Robin again falls into the list of nominees for the Oscar, now for participation in the film "The Society of Dead Poets."

In 1997, Robin Williams receives the long-awaited Oscar statuette for his role in the film "Clever Will Hunting". True, the actor did not get the main role, and a secondary one - a certain Professor Maguire. The very Will Hunting was played by Dam Damon.

Then there were the films "Where Dreams Cause", "Healer Adams", "Jacob-Liar" (the last picture, by the way, failed at the box office). The actor constantly experimented and tried to play diverse roles, which he often managed.

Robin Williams: children and wife

Like his father, Robin Williams married the model. His choice in 1976 was Valerie Velardi. Together they lived for 10 years. Velardi gave birth to an actor son. But in the mid-80s, Williams Robin was caught up in connection with a waitress, and the marriage broke up.

In 1989, Robin again marries, but now on the nurse of his first child - Marche Garces. Another wife gave birth to an actor with two children - a daughter and a son, but the marriage again disintegrated in 2008.

The last wife of Williams - the designer Susan Schneider - did not give Robin a single child, but was with him until the end of his days. Together they lived in one of the mansions of San Francisco.

Unfortunately, after the death of the actor, a real swara began over the huge inheritance left by Williams. It was also not without litigation, during which it became clear that the main share, according to the will, was to be given to the children of Robin, but an impressive part was transferred to charity. Such a decision did not suit the actor's widow, Mrs. Schneider, so disputes between the heirs continue until now.

The last film by Robin Williams

Throughout his career, Williams has starred in more than a hundred paintings. He collaborated with Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg and many other Hollywood giants.

Back in the 80's. The actor had problems with drugs and alcohol. But for the sake of his family and profession he was able to start with addictions for a while. However, such dependencies do not pass without a trace, and in 2006, Robin again went to the clinic to undergo treatment for alcoholism.

During the last 10 years of his life, Ulyams continued to actively withdraw. The audience remembers the comedy with his participation "Night at the Museum", the drama "The Night Listener" and "Psychoanalyst", the family film "The Best Dad".

Shortly before his death, Williams starred in the TV series "Crazy", in the films "The Big Wedding" and "Butler". The point in his career was the role of the bank clerk in the "Boulevard".
