Where to swim in the summer? Rivers and lakes near Moscow

After a week of work in a stuffy megapolis, I so want to go out into the countryside! Lie in the sun, swim in warm water ... But can you find such places near Moscow? In fact, it is not so difficult.

Where to rest in the suburbs?

Traditionally near the capital rest those who for some reason can not or do not want to go far. This, however, does not mean that such a vacation will be bad, because in the Moscow region is concentrated a huge number of various water bodies - rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and on their shores are sanatoriums, rest homes and hotels for every taste and purse. In the end, you can always rent a house for the summer, including on the shore of the lake near Moscow. You just need to choose the right direction.

Rest houses and sanatoriums on the banks of rivers and lakes

You do not need to go far from the capital to get into any recreational institution. For example, a huge number of sanatoriums can be found in the direction of Dmitrovsky, Mozhayskogo, Kiev highway. If there is no problem in order to go a little further away, you can visit holiday homes on the banks of the Oka, passing a couple of hundred kilometers along the Kashirskoye highway. And you can gather in the Tver region to visit the famous Seliger, which every summer gathers a huge number of tourists.

Near Moscow sanatoriums and boarding houses offer both simple and curative programs. The directions are very different: gynecological, gastroenterological, neurological, cardiological, traumatological and many others. The advantage of holiday homes near Moscow for residents of the central district is that they do not need to spend time on acclimatization, and it's more budgetary, and the journey does not take much time. So an excellent option to spend a vacation can be rest on the lake. Moscow is rich with them.

For swimming

Unfortunately, the metropolitan region can not boast of perfectly clean water and plenty of comfortable equipped beaches. And yet the lakes of the Moscow region, where you can swim, exist. Moreover, even in the capital itself there are such places.

Every year, environmentalists conduct research, according to which decisions are made about the safety of swimming in certain water bodies. And before the beginning of the swimming season it is better to get acquainted with this information, because even in the most seemingly proven and familiar places you can come across extremely unpleasant surprises - broken glass or other debris off the coast, unpleasant diseases and other consequences.

In 2014 in the suburbs, 77 beaches were found suitable for swimming. Some of them are located on the territory of recreation centers, and the rest are municipal ones. Among the most popular are the following water reservoirs and lakes near Moscow:

  • Klyazma Reservoir. The recreation area "Khlebnikovo" has 2 free beaches. You can rent catamarans and boats, rent an arbor. At the nearby base "Troitskoe" is equipped with a bathing area for children, there are water attractions, cafes. This beach is also free, but for the entrance of the car you will have to pay 200 rubles.
  • Pirogovskoe reservoir. In the Bay of Joy, there are free beaches with children's playgrounds. There is also an entertainment complex, the entrance to the territory of which will cost the adult up to 600 rubles.
  • Myakininskaya floodplain. Here you can find both secluded, "wild" places, and a paid beach, for example, "Rublevo". Sports grounds, equipment for children, grass, sand and clean water - all this will cost 150 rubles.
  • Istra Reservoir. The largest and most popular here is a free beach in the village of Trusovo. There is a children's area, summer cafes and other infrastructure.

Of course, many residents of the capital have their favorite lakes near Moscow and places of traditional recreation. But the above listed remain one of the most popular from year to year.

For fishermen

Some do not like bathing in rivers and lakes, they prefer a quiet pastime with a fishing rod. Fishermen often meet in Moscow: the Khimki Reservoir, the Derivational Canal, the Silver Forest and even the smallest ponds. There is much more choice in the region - you do not even need to go far - it's Senezh in Solnechnogorsk, White Lake (Podmoskovye, Shatursky District), Biserovo, a pond near the village of Malnniki in the Yaroslavl direction. Each fisherman has his secrets and favorite places, but in these water bodies fishing is free and pleasant. And even if the catch is not the main goal, it can also be very rewarding.

How to get there?

The easiest way, of course, is to do it on your own car. Do not have to look at the schedule of electric trains, worry about their cancellation, and also spend a long time in wet clothes or take it with you. The car is more convenient if it is a family trip with young children. In the end, you can stop and snack at any time or just take a break. Of course, traffic jams can seriously spoil the mood, but if you choose not too distant lakes near Moscow and find a suitable time for traveling, you can minimize the likelihood of getting into congestion.

The nearest to Moscow

Water objects located very close to a metropolis, of course, can hardly be called crystal clear and completely deserted, but, nevertheless, there you can perfectly relax.

On the Schelkovo and Yaroslavl Highways you can quickly reach the Klyazma Reservoir, the river of the same name and, of course, the famous Bear Lakes. On the Gorky direction, about 30 kilometers from the capital, you can relax in the Kupavna area. Still to the south is the White Lake. The suburbs, however, can be considered conditional here, since this place, as well as neighboring Black and Holy, is within the city limits. Every year, all the water facilities of the capital are checked for compliance with a number of standards, and in 2014, the White Lake fell into a short list of allowed.

In the west there is a beautiful picturesque bay and floodplain, which attracts residents from all over the Krasnogorsk district and the surrounding areas of Moscow. The Khimki reservoir and canal are more popular in the north. However, ecologists found in the local water an increased content of certain species of bacteria, so that swimming is not recommended here. Dolgoprudny and Pushkino near the Uchinsk reservoir are a little further from Moscow, but also deserve attention. So the lakes and rivers near Moscow are quite suitable for rest on hot days.
