What will the Kalininskaya metro line look like

The Kalininskaya metro line currently operates successfully only in an easterly direction. The first part of the site was commissioned more than thirty years ago. Trains began to deliver passengers from the station "Novogireevo" in the Taganskaya area to the station "Marxist", where it became part of a large interchange node, which allows switching to the Koltsevo and Zhdanov-Krasnopresnenskaya lines. In the following years the Kalininskaya metro line was continued to the east to the station "Novokosino" and in the direction of Zamoskvorechye to the station "Tretyakovskaya". Plans for its further development have long been discussed and repeatedly revised. There is no clear clarity in this issue at this time.

However, the current section of the Kalinin line is noteworthy in many respects. The main part of it came into operation before the new 1980, before the opening of the Olympics in Moscow. The stations of the opened line in the architectural plan looked very worthy. All of them were executed on individual projects, and no one saved money to decorate them and decorate them. Instead of cheap tile and standard reinforced concrete, granite, marble, brass and bronze returned to their rightful places. Kalininskaya metro line marked the beginning of a new era in the history of the Moscow metro. It was finally finished with the notorious "struggle with architectural excesses", so thoroughly disfigured many stations in the periphery of the Moscow (and not only the Moscow) metro. In the architectural and urban planning thinking prevailed the sound idea that the metro is built for centuries, and this is not the case when it is appropriate to save.

What will happen next

Kalininskaya metro line in the scheme is marked with a traditional yellow color. Apparently, this is due to the name of the area where the line was originally intended to be brought. In many old sources it is still referred to as the "Kalininsk-Solntsevskaya metro line". The scheme of its development assumed a turn in the south direction towards the Solntsevo district. But time has made its adjustments in these plans. The situation was interrupted by the protracted crisis of the 1990s, and the changed plans of the city authorities in the field of transport infrastructure development. And these plans have changed many times and in the most unexpected directions. To save material resources in Solntsevo began to build a light line of the underground. It must be connected by the shortest route to the areas in the southern outskirts with the central part of the city. And the existing Kalinin line will be further developed in the western direction. The station "Tretyakovskaya" will soon cease to be final, the train will proceed further to the stations "Volkhonka", "Plyushchikha", "Kutuzovsky Prospekt", "Business Center" and "Victory Park". The final decision has not yet been made about the prospects for the further construction of the Kalinin line. One can only say with certainty that the station "Victory Park" will not last forever.
