More than 32 million passwords from "Twitter" can be hacked and sold

One hacker made a statement that he stole the logins and passwords of 32 million accounts of the social network "Twitter". And now these data are on sale in the black web market.

Was Twitter hacked?

However, representatives of the "Twitter" network deny that something similar happened. They are confident that the data in question could not be obtained by hacking the security system of the social network, since the fact of hacking was not documented. Moreover, representatives of Twitter reported that they are making every effort to make the use of this social network more secure with a look at recent hacker attacks on other social networks, such as LinkedIn. To check if your data was stolen, you can see the database on the Internet, and if you find your login there - just change your password. If you use the same password on other sites, change it there. Representatives of Twitter noted that they have solid evidence that the social network was not hacked. Most likely, the leakage of personal data occurred due to a virus attack on the user's web browsers, which provided access to the login, the mail address, and in some cases to the additional mail address and the visible password.
