Multiple definitions

Quarantine is a closed zone in the territory of which some dangerous disease or virus spreads. Entry and exit into this zone for civilians are prohibited. There is also another definition.

Quarantine is an activity that is aimed at reducing the risk of infection of a large number of people in an educational institution or deskovy garden with some serious viral disease. There is a special epidemic threshold, that is, the number of infected people, after which the institution introduces this provision.

Quarantine - is it dangerous?

A huge number of parents are so protective of their children that they can leave their children at home for a few months, especially in winter, so that they do not get sick. Basically, quarantine is announced in kindergartens, since it is the immunity of babies that is most susceptible to the influence of various viruses. Such a decision can be made by local authorities or the management of the institution, but in this case, the time of extraordinary holidays will last no more than a week.

Sadiki continue to work, only now every day children are examined by a doctor, and workers are obliged to wear gauze bandages. This situation in the institution can be prescribed when at least one child falls ill, for example, with chickenpox. At the same time, certain activities are carried out in the room. Quarantine in schools can last from 3 to 7 days, and this is mainly due to an outbreak of influenza.

To drive or not?

It is this question parents ask when they hear that in the kindergarten they announce a quarantine. In this case, all responsibility falls on adults, so only you can decide how to act. This mainly depends on the causes of the epidemic:

  1. Chickenpox. This virus belongs to the volatile, and it is very easy to catch it, even if your baby has very strong immunity.
  2. Scarlet fever. Against this virus, too, do not get vaccinated and the risk of catching the disease is very high.
  3. In a more mild form the child will suffer such diseases: measles, rubella, whooping cough and mumps.

If a quarantine is declared in the kindergarten of the child, and you simply do not have the opportunity to leave it at home, then certainly carry out some manipulations that will help to protect the baby:

  • Daily measure the temperature;
  • If quarantine is due to measles, rubella or chickenpox, then every day check the baby's skin;
  • With intestinal infections, watch the chair of your child.

Even with minimal suspicion of infecting a child during quarantine, you need to call a doctor or an ambulance.
