What the fuck is this? What can be the haze?

Despite the fact that the haze is quite ordinary atmospheric phenomenon, many people consider it a mystical omen. The reason for this is the old myths, describing it as a bad omen or leprosy of evil spirits. Fortunately over the years people are less and less believe in such stories.

And yet, what is the fog? Is this an ordinary cloud of dust or, perhaps, there is something else? How is this atmospheric phenomenon formed? And does it carry a threat to people? Well, let's look into all this.

The meaning of the word "haze"

As you know, nothing can come from emptiness. This rule applies to this phenomenon, so do not believe the stories, but you need to listen to proven facts. So, the haze is the turbidity of the air, caused by a large accumulation of dark particles. For example, it could be dust or the same snow.

What raises them up? In fact, many factors can cause this: wind, fire, blizzard and so on. More importantly, because of their light weight, they soar for a long time in the air, thereby forming a kind of veil.

Depending on the number and type of these particles, the mists themselves change. For example, a sandstorm in Dubai can leave a haze behind it, capable of hiding objects from hundreds of meters away.

Sand or dusty haze

If we talk about the causes of this atmospheric phenomenon, then often all the fault is ordinary sand or dust. And if the sands are for the most part the problem of those who live in hot countries, then dust is omnipresent.

Quite often in big cities, after a strong wind in the air, there is a haze. This is punishment for the way of life that leads a person. And the larger the city, the more impenetrable is the haze in it.

Snow Shroud

However, the haze is not always a bad thing. For example, in the winter such a phenomenon causes only joyful feelings. After all, the snowy haze is millions of snowflakes slowly circling in the air, as if under the guidance of an invisible conductor. On such days even the greatest skeptic begins to doubt his convictions.

Smoke from fires

Another type of haze is a smoke screen that has arisen from fires. In 2010, because of the burning of forests, Moscow residents felt the brunt of the phenomenon. Corrosive smoke and burnt particles so filled the airspace that sometimes even the rays of the sun did not reach the surface of the earth.

Unfortunately, such a fog often disturbs the peace of people. Especially in the hot season, when forest fires become quite common.
