What is the citation plan? This is a pledge of an independent work!

After reading the next work before a student or schoolchild, the task will probably be to describe the text in the form of a composition or another type of work in order to give the teacher an opportunity to evaluate how the work was mastered and what conclusions were drawn.

Definition

Coming to writing essays, essays or even essays, beginning "writers" almost certainly face one problem. It consists in the difficulty of drawing up the original plan, according to which the exposition will be written. The most difficult to divide the text in advance into certain points in order to systematize the future vocabulary flow. In this case, a citation plan may come to the aid.

What is the citation plan? This is a plan for essays, essays, etc., in the preparation of which should be citations (excerpts) from the read text. It means that the headings should use quotes from the work, which in meaning will coincide with what will be written under them.

How useful this plan is

The peculiarity of the citation plan, which distinguishes it among other methods of composing an essay, is its unique opportunity to make maximum use of the knowledge acquired during the reading. After all, what is a citation plan? This is nothing more than borrowing (thought out, of course) quotations straight from the text, which gives the person who writes the presentation the opportunity to apply the text as the main support that will give impetus to the appearance of ideas about the read. The biggest difficulty in choosing quotations that will form the basis of the future work will be the problem of finding excerpts that most clearly and accurately describe the given topic and the train of thought. But if you carefully read the work, whether it be a poem, a story or a poem, it will not be difficult for a person to recall quotes that have cut deep into the mind, such that they will give him that "fulcrum". Do not despair, if no quotations go to your mind. In the end, a book, electronic or ordinary, is always with you to fill in the missing elements.

Composition

What is a citation plan for literature? Clarifying what was written above, one can be sure that such a plan helps to maintain strict observance of the established norms on a par with other methods of organizing the composition of the work, that is, to take into account such important points as introduction, the main part and, of course, the conclusion, Him.

For the introduction it will be logical to choose an excerpt that most fully describes the events that take place and leads you to the main idea of the work.

The citation which should describe the main part can be such a short passage, in which lies the main idea or the main problem of the work, considered in it and allowing you to ask yourself questions, proceed from it.

As a final point, it is necessary to use a quotation that would sum up, for example, a poem or story, give any assessment. When it comes to imprisonment, a quote from an old fairy tale comes to mind: "And they lived happily ever after."

Example of a quotation plan

To more accurately consolidate the understanding of the term and for the purpose of not wanting to ask again in the future what a citation plan is, let us consider the method of organizing a plan based on the story of the American writer Ray Bradbury "Dandelion Wine". Suppose a task was received to find the quotes most correctly describing the above-mentioned work and on the topic "Character Development". It does not matter what we are considering, what an essay is or what a citation plan is, the example always provides an opportunity to more thoroughly understand the main concept and quickly get down to the task, in this case to write the essay. We divide it into minimal 3 parts: introduction, main part and conclusion. For the introduction, you can choose the following quote from the main character: "Something must happen," he thought, "I already know." Indeed, thanks to this excerpt, it is possible to notice the reader's preparation for the fact that the protagonist anticipated in advance that changes are planned that will not bypass him. As a quote, emphasizing the main idea of the story, you can choose the following phrase: "I AM LIVING!". For the reader familiar with the story, the choice of this quote will be obvious in view of its relevance. In the course of the description, the main character adds more life to the phrase, understanding its value and transience. "And suddenly the summer came to an end" - such a quote was chosen as a conclusion. If you shake your brains and become acquainted with the story, the question of the correct choice of the above quotation will disappear by itself. This is the citation plan.
