What does iman mean? How to strengthen Iman? Iman is ...

Iman is faith, faith in the existence of the Supreme Lord and His prophets, and all that has been revealed by Him or spoken by God through His prophets. This term is used in the religion of Islam, which, in turn, means following the commandments of Allah with faith and obedience.

What is Iman?

Iman is the basis of all Islam. This is the main mission of every Muslim and the main science that every believer must comprehend.

What does iman mean? This is an incontrovertible conviction that Allah exists, that He is the Lord and Lord of all, the only Creator and Governor of this universe. Allah is the only one who is worthy to be worshiped. No one can surpass him or be equal to Him. These beliefs are laid by Iman. Belief in Allah must be present in the heart of every person. The names and qualities of Allah are so beautiful that He has no imperfections and imperfections.

Faith in the Lord is the first pillar of Iman

Iman (translated: "faith") lives in the soul of every person. All the creations of the Lord, especially the people, are created so that their soul is full of faith in the Lord. Instinctively everyone is aware of the greatness of the Creator. To believe in the Lord, a person does not need to work intellectually or ask to be taught to believe. The only thing that can affect a person's faith is external circumstances (bad upbringing, social device, public opinion). Allah Himself in the Quran says that Iman is an inborn quality with which He created all people.

Each child is born with faith in the Creator. That is, in every person Iman lives since birth. Its meaning is great, but not everyone can understand this. Parents or society make a person an adherent of one or another religious trend. In the Muslim holy books, it is said that no other religion except Islam gives a person a natural worldview. From birth, human consciousness is distorted by its parents and educators. The harmony of Faith in children is disrupted.

Myths about creation destroy faith

Reflecting on the creation of all things, a person can make a few guesses that all this has arisen by accident, no one has done anything. But common sense does not allow to take this nonsense. Every person knows that any thing can not arise by itself.

There is another erroneous opinion that everything is created by itself. This idea is held by those who deify nature, not realizing to the end that it is also the creation of the Lord. From such people you can often hear "created by nature", "so arranged by nature."

Since both opinions are absurd, we can conclude that all creatures have a creator, and this is Allah himself. He Himself has always existed, the Lord has no beginning and no end, He is eternal.

The second pillar of Iman is faith in angels

Iman is faith. You can believe not only in the existence of the Creator, but also in His helpers - the angels. Angels are the creatures of Allah, which are hidden from human eyes. They always serve the Lord and help Him. Despite this, the angels do not possess divine sovereignty and do not require worship. They themselves do not allow people to worship themselves.

By the grace of Allah, angels are endowed with the qualities of absolute devotion and obedience to the Lord. They also have a tremendous power that enables them to follow all the directions of the Almighty.

Iman (in Russian - faith) in angels consists of the following beliefs:

  1. The belief that they exist.
  2. Faith in Jibril, Malik, Mikael and other angels, whose names can be found in the Qur'an.
  3. Faith in their qualities and power.
  4. Faith in the angelic deeds, which are committed by them at the direction of Allah. For example, glorifying the names of the Almighty, worship Him throughout the day.

Belief in angels leads to the following results:

  1. A person is given knowledge of the greatness of the Lord. Realizing the greatness of His creation, one can imagine for a moment how great and powerful the Lord is.
  2. A person is thankful to the Lord for caring for us. Angels always stand guard, guarding a person from many dangers and making his life on earth better.
  3. The love of angels helps a person to approach the Lord.

Faith in the Sacred Books

Iman is not only faith in Allah. The third pillar of Iman is faith in the Scriptures, in which everything is told about the Lord. When it comes to believing in books, it means believing in the Scriptures that Allah has left to his messengers as a special mercy to all mankind. This is a reliable guide for future generations so that they can achieve real happiness in the kingdom of the Lord.

The main purpose of sending down the Books was to encourage people to worship Allah properly. These Books should become a law in the life of every person. Guided by them, everyone can receive great blessings in all worlds. The scriptures help people to purify themselves and fully realize their divine nature.

Beliefs:

  1. The belief that the Books are sent down by Allah himself.
  2. Faith in their name, for example the Koran, Injil, Taurat, Zabur.
  3. The books of Allah are Truth.
  4. In the Koran are the eternal laws of Allah, therefore all the previous Scriptures can be rejected.

What fruits does faith in Books bring?

  1. A person has faith in the fact that Allah cares for all living beings. That He sent down the Books containing direct guidance to life is evidence of His boundless mercy.
  2. The wisdom of Allah is unsurpassed. He passed on to people only those laws that are most necessary for them.
  3. Faith in Books helps a person get rid of attachment to personal attachments.

The fourth pillar is faith in the Lord's messengers

The Messengers of Allah are the people who are directed to the land with the Shari'ah, urging them to follow it. The first messenger is Noah, the last one is Muhammad.

Messengers are people who have a specific mission. But they should not worship and consider them divine personalities. Human conditioning is not alien to them. They are also mortal and prone to disease.

Risal is given only to the elect. A person can not acquire this degree independently. No personal efforts will help.

Beliefs, as a consequence of faith in the messengers:

  1. The mission of the messengers is true. Whoever does not believe in at least one messenger can not believe in the rest. Who accuses one of the messengers, he blames them all.
  2. It is necessary to believe in messengers whose names are known from the Scriptures.
  3. Unconditional faith in what the prophets told.
  4. The last prophet was Muhammad.

Fruits of faith in the Prophet:

  1. A knowledge of the unlimited mercy and care of Allah is transmitted to man.
  2. People are grateful for the care of the Lord.
  3. Love and veneration of messengers.

Judgment Day is the fifth pillar of Iman

Everyone should believe that sooner or later the Day of Judgment will come and everyone will have to appear before the Lord and answer for all the deeds done. This day is also called the End of the World, since this is the last day on this planet. Then people will take their original eternal position, someone in paradise, and someone in hell.

Belief in the End of the World implies the actions of a person who is convinced that this day will come and he will have to answer before the Lord.

When the Great Day comes, there will be a resurrection of all the dead and all humanity will face the Lord. This points to the special wisdom of Allah, who has made all people come back to life and will be rewarded for fulfilling their duties according to the divine Laws. Each person will have the opportunity to get an account of their deeds, and everyone on this day will receive what he himself has prepared for himself.

Belief in predestination

Predestination is the measure established by Allah about the existence of everything in this world in accordance with the Laws of the Lord.

Predestination consists of Allah's knowledge of everything that was, is and will be. All information is recorded in the Stored Tablet. The book was compiled before the world was created. Here is written everything that Allah wanted to translate into reality.

Creation itself is the crown of predestination, when the desires of Allah incarnate in this world.

To believe in predestination is to realize that the Lord knows everything, that nothing is hidden from Him and that all His will is done.

Each person needs to ask the question: "How to strengthen Iman?" Knowledge of the pillars of the Faith will help in this. You should also communicate only with those who have a firm faith in Allah and are able to convey this faith.
