What are the heaters for water heaters

Now in all stores selling household appliances, boilers are being realized - devices for heating water. Gas columns, so popular until recently, are gradually losing ground. It can not be said that they were so bad. On the contrary! With the help of a water-heating gas column, it is easy to dial a hot water bath - an inadmissible luxury for an electric boiler, both flowing and storage type. But, as you know, a fly in the ointment can easily spoil a whole barrel of choice fashion. Such a spoon in relation to the columns was the need to mount an exhaust system for combustion products, call gas service workers (unauthorized connection is threatened with a fine) for installation and registration of the device. All this involves additional costs of own time and financial resources. And in case of breakdown, not everyone can understand the intricacies of pipelines. At the same time, heaters for water heaters can be bought in any market and independently change the failed node.

Electric boilers. Varieties

All these drawbacks are deprived of water heaters that work from household electricity. The only unpleasant moment is that there is a limitation of the amount of hot water that can be issued once. True, this is relevant for accumulation varieties, limited by the volume of the tank. Models of a flow type are able to produce a jet of hot water, however, heaters for water heaters of this type are too powerful (at least 3 kW), so there is no need to talk about the everyday widespread use of such devices.

How do boilers work? As we already mentioned, there are two types - flow and storage. The name speaks for itself. Heating elements for water heaters of the first type are capable of heating the cold water flowing through the device to a hot state. This is actually the same column, only the heat source is the heater for water heaters, and not the burning natural gas. More often, in order to obtain a sufficient pressure of hot water, a huge electrical power is needed, so for such water heaters, a separate cable line is drawn from the lead-in shield.

The second type of these household appliances is cumulative. If we consider them in a simplified way, then it is a container with two nozzles - for supplying cold and receiving hot water. Inside is a tubular electric heater (TEN), controlled by a simple mechanical relay. It is necessary to open the tap, as the cold water entering the tank starts to displace hot - the appliance works. The disadvantage is that the amount of hot water is limited by the capacity of the tank.

Types of heaters

Despite a wide range of products from various manufacturing companies, tubular heaters are used in all such devices. For example, the heater for the Thermex water heater performs the same functions as in the Ariston solutions. The differences are in the material of the spiral (not always), power consumption and shape. The last of them just allows the manufacturer to implement its own components.

Heating elements for water heaters "Termex" can be closed and open type. In the first case, the tube is placed in a special bulb-flask, which heats the water, that is, the TEN itself does not contact the liquid with the liquid. The second solution is a classic one, performed in analogy with an electric kettle.
