What are the attractions of Orekhovo-Zuevo worth seeing

In the east of the Moscow Region, on the banks of the Klyazma River, lies the beautiful city of Orekhovo-Zuevo. The city on the world map appeared in the beginning of the 20th century as a result of the merger of four small villages: Orekhovo, Zuevo, Nikolskoe and Dubrovka. The first mention of these villages dates back to the beginning of the XIII century. In these villages, already in the XVIII century, the textile industry successfully developed. At the end of the XIX century in these picturesque places famous manufacturers and patrons of art Morozovs launched a cotton mill. Due to this industrial activity there were different attractions of Orekhovo-Zuevo. In 1990 the city was added to the list of historical inhabited places of Russia.

A feature of the structure is a glass dome over the operating theater. In the hospital ensemble there are facilities for medical personnel, as well as a chapel named after Xenia of St. Petersburg.
  • The Old House of Soviets. This building was erected at the beginning of the 20th century and initially consisted of three floors. Servants and workers of the factory "Savva Morozov and K" lived there. The fourth floor was erected in 1932, and since then various departments have been located in the building. A significant event for this architectural structure is the fact that he was visited by Lenin himself. This is evidenced by memorial plaques on the building.

Sculptural attractions

Orekhovo-Zuevo is famous for its large number of monuments. Although the city is still considered young, there is much to see in it. Sculptural sights of Orekhovo-Zuevo always attract tourists:

  • Monument to Alexander Pushkin. This landmark appeared in the city in 1957 on the square named after the great Russian poet. The sculpture was staged in honor of the 120th anniversary of the memory of Alexander Sergeevich. With Orekhovo-Zuevo the poet has very warm memories. It was here that the work "My Pedigree" was born.
  • Monument to the fighters of the revolution. In 1923, in the courtyard of the Strike, this landmark was erected. In its entire history, the monument "dressed" three times in a new look.
