If earlier we quietly bought the standard "half-a-half" and "double", suitable for all pillowcases and duvet covers, but now the head goes around from the "euro", "king saz", "family" and many other sizes presented in the market. For a particular bed it is important to choose the right double bedding set. The dimensions of mattresses, pillowcases and duvet covers must be measured before purchasing in order to know exactly what to buy.

The usual double bed linen is a set of sheets, duvet cover and two pillow cases. The width for the blanket is 180 cm. The length of the duvet cover can vary depending on the height of the person, usually it is from 210 cm to 215 cm.

The double bed linen "euro" is designed for a standard double bed with a blanket width of 200 cm. "Euro" is the new standard of the bed set, which came to our market and is widely used. It is distinguished by an enlarged size of duvet cover and sheets, it often contains two pillowcases on pillows 50x70cm. Such pillows are more convenient than standard square 70x70cm for some people, because they save space on the bed and create comfortable backbone support during sleep. In some European sets you can find four pillowcases - two rectangular and two square.

The family size of a double bed linen is characterized by a standard sheet and pillowcases, but two half-and-aft quilts. This set is perfect for lovers of sleeping together, but under different blankets.

The size of the king bed linen differs from the euro by a wide sheet and duvet cover, it is designed for a very wide, so-called three-bed bed. The width of the duvet cover can reach 260 cm.

When choosing a sheet, consider the thickness of the mattress, if the sheet is refilled, add 10 cm on each side so that the fabric does not get lost during sleep. In overseas sets of bed linen, you can find sheets on the elastic. They are convenient because they can be put on a mattress and do not worry anymore about the fact that the fabric will be destroyed. The only drawback of such sheets is that they are uncomfortable to iron, since places with an elastic band have a lot of folds. If this does not bother you, and you want to purchase a set of laundry with such a sheet, look for the label "fitted sheet" on the package.

Sometimes bedding is collected from different objects, for example, a duvet cover and pillowcases correspond to the characteristics of the "euro", and a sheet is needed for a large "king size" mattress. In this case, the necessary size of a double bed linen to pick up is problematic, but you can sew it to order. Sewing a set of bed linen can also be convenient in case of selecting the desired pattern of fabric. Suppose you want to refresh the interior of the bedroom with a certain color, and in the stores the desired kit does not occur. In addition, sewing clothes will be cheaper than buying it.

When choosing a double bedding set, first of all measure all the blankets, pillowcases and mattress. In this case, choosing the right size will be much easier.
