Vareniki - a universal dish, which is prepared from an unleavened dough. This amazing way of making flour products involves using a wide variety of fillers. But in any case, this is a very tasty dish that you can offer for dinner to the whole family or treat guests to a dinner party.

Vareniki with cabbage are perfect for a dinner in a hurry. Pre-cooked and frozen billets are just enough to boil, and a tasty, hearty dish is ready. But you need to work hard to prepare the half-finished product. This is a rather laborious process that requires patience.

Vareniki with fresh cabbage have an unmistakable taste. First of all, let's do the test. Usually a fresh dough is used. It is prepared in many ways.

For this method, you will need:

  • 700 grams of flour;
  • 1 egg;
  • 100 grams of sunflower oil;
  • A glass of warm water;
  • salt.

Mix the butter and the egg. If you have household appliances, this mixture can be whipped with a blender or a mixer. Add water and salt, stir well. In the resulting mixture gradually pour the flour and knead the dough. He is covered with a napkin and begins to prepare vegetables to stuff dumplings with cabbage. This will require:

  • 500 grams of fresh cabbage;
  • 1 large onion;
  • 1 carrot;
  • vegetable oil;
  • spice;
  • salt.

Shred cabbage, finely chop the onions and tinder the carrots on a large grater. Cabbage is fried in vegetable oil. Separately, prepare the browning, which is added to the cabbage. The vegetable mixture is stirred and extinguished by adding salt and ground pepper. If desired, you can add a little tomato juice or tomato paste. Ready filling is put in vareniki with cabbage in a cold form. Fresh cabbage can be replaced with sauerkraut. In this case, the filling is prepared without adding tomato.

Everything is ready to make vareniki. The dough is divided into 4 parts. One of them is rolled out with a millimeter layer on the table, sprinkled with flour. Next, the glass cut out dough circles. For each laid vegetable filling. Folding it in half, tightly press the opposite edges. Vareniki with cabbage have the form of small triangles. They are formed, gradually rolling out the remaining dough. When it is completely consumed, the salted water is boiled in a saucepan.

It is boiled for 7 minutes formed vareniki with cabbage. After that, they shift it into a bowl with a spoon and season with butter or specially cooked onions and lard with cracklings. As you can see in the photo, vareniki with cabbage have a rather appetizing appearance.

This dish can be cooked for a couple. To do this, use a steamer or simply a pan of boiling water. A colander is set in it. On it, as on a stand, dumplings with cabbage will be soared. Steam cooking time is 10 minutes. With this method, vareniki with cabbage are soft and airy. They are served with butter or sour cream. The cooled down dish can be easily heated. To do this, put the finished dish, dressed with oil or cracklings, in clay pots, which are placed in a preheated oven. After a few minutes, the heated dish can be served on the table. If desired, some of the generated vareniki can be frozen.
