Useful tropical fruits

Each of us tasted tropical fruits when we were on holiday, and in an ordinary store today you can find exotic delicacies. Modern international communication has allowed delivery of various fruits to almost all regions of the globe, thanks to which everyone knows from childhood what pineapple is or what the tangerine tastes like. Consider the most common and useful tropical fruits.

Mango

Many have seen the famous fruits on the shelves of supermarkets, but not everyone knows that there are more than two dozen species of this fruit. The main suppliers of such exotics are India, China and Thailand. Annually more than 20 million tons of mango are collected. Agree, a significant figure. The flesh of the ripe fruit is soft, juicy and sweet, with a wonderful and memorable aroma. Europeans are accustomed to seeing these tropical fruits in their ripe form or in the form of canned food, but in places where mangoes are grown they are used even in "green" form. In addition, it is a source of fructose and lots of vitamins. Fruits are widely used in local medicine, for example, to stop bleeding, improve the functioning of the brain, and also strengthen the muscles of the heart.

Pitaya, or dragons of fruit

It has an unusual shape, the peel may be red, purple or bright yellow, while the flesh is invariably white with small black granules. It tastes like kiwi, sweet and tender flesh has a subtle aroma. These tropical fruits, whose names have occurred precisely because of an interesting appearance, grow on cacti and have a characteristic feature: flowers bloom only at night. It should be noted that the flowers are also edible: added to tea, they give it a sweet and sour aroma. Fruits are used in medicine, because they successfully cope with stomach pains, and also have a beneficial effect on quality and visual acuity.

Papaya

Tropical fruits of this type have a juicy sweet flesh of golden or orange-pink color. In the center of the fruit are inedible seeds. In places of growth, and this is India, Bali, Thailand and Mexico, they eat not only ripe fruits, but also those that barely started to ripen. Papaya has many synonymous names, for example, breadfruit (because it smells of fresh bread when baked) or a melon tree (for a similar appearance and chemical composition). Useful qualities are not spared and these tropical fruits: a list of ailments that papaya can if not cure, then suspend, is large enough. It is recommended to eat papaya fruits daily for diseases of the spine, as they contribute to the development of enzymes responsible for the regeneration of connective tissues in the intervertebral discs. These tropical fruits are a source of vitamins and minerals. Studies have shown that the use of just a third of the average fetus daily satisfies the daily requirement of man in vitamin C, calcium and iron. An interesting feature is the contraceptive properties of unripe papaya fruits.
