Up to what time limit can pregnancy be terminated and how to do it safely
An unplanned pregnancy often occurs when the woman is least ready for it. Of course, some pregnant women believe that if this happened, then it is necessary to give birth, but the majority resorts to the help of doctors and interrupts pregnancy. Before the abortion it is necessary to get a consultation of the attending physician, to find out before what period it is possible to interrupt pregnancy, to undergo examination, to pass the necessary tests, to establish the localization of the fetal egg.
This period must necessarily be confirmed by ultrasound.
Using ultrasound also confirm that pregnancy is a uterine, and find out the number of fruits.
Of course, if you try to interrupt pregnancy in the early term, then you can cause less damage to the woman's body.
So, if the period is longer than 7 weeks, and pregnancy continues to develop, then a normal abortion, or, as it is also called, "cleansing".
This is a surgical operation, an intervention in the body of a woman. The cervix of the uterus expands, a special instrument is inserted into the uterus, with which its cavity is scraped. It is worth noting that this procedure is done by doctors almost to the touch.
If you do not want to be treated with conventional scraping, then it's better to know in advance how long you can terminate the pregnancy. If you contact a doctor before 7 weeks, you may be offered a vacuum abortion. From curettage it is different in that the fetus is not cleaned by special rounded knives, but is sucked from the uterus by a vacuum. The procedure itself is not too different from the usual abortion: expanders are inserted into the neck, and a tube connected to the vacuum pump is inserted into the uterus. On a short term, the fetus is completely drained. If a vacuum abortion is carried out at a later date, then only some parts of the child can be drawn by the vacuum, and for the complete cleaning of the uterine cavity it is still necessary to perform the usual curettage.
Interruptions can be made at a later date, but only if there is a medical indication for this. Of course, in each case, only the doctor should determine before what period it is possible to interrupt pregnancy and in what way it is better to do this.
