Torsion of testicles - it is urgent to the doctor

Torsion of the testicles or testicles is the turning of the testicle on the spermatic cord. This anomaly usually occurs in boys during their active puberty and up to twenty-five years. But do not relax, as this can happen in men of any age.

Torsion of the testicles can occur as without apparent causes. But it can be provoked by hard physical work, various scrotal injuries, and other factors that cause a sharp contraction of muscles. As a result, a reflex rise of the testicle occurs, and it twists by 180 degrees, and sometimes more - around its axis, because of which the blood supply to the testicle is impaired, resulting in further necrosis. Testicular torsion can occur due to the presence of various anomalies, from which the testicle is poorly attached to the bottom of the scrotum.

Testicular torsion is divided into the following types:

- non-vaginal, which occurs together with the testicles and is observed in young children under the age of one year;

- Intravaginal, which occurs inside the vaginal shell of the testicle.

Symptoms.

The main symptoms of the testicular torsion are acute pain in the affected part of the scrotum, which is given to the inguinal zone. Vomiting and nausea may also occur.

If the testicular torsion occurs in the newborn, it can be seen by increasing the part of the scrotum, as well as blanching or reddening of the skin. If the child is already talking, then he will complain about the occurrence of pain in the lower abdomen and in the groin.

Diagnostics.

When probing the scrotum, the testicle will be at the top, since the seed cord is shortened. In addition, the appendage can be in front of the testicle. In this case, during probing, the scrotum can be of little pain. Seedal cord because of torsion greatly thickens. As a result, redness and swelling of the scrotum occur.

When examining ultrasound, the absence or presence of blood circulation in the testicle is checked. In order to determine the contents of the testicles, they can perform a diagnostic puncture and diaphanoscopy.

Treatment.

In some patients, testicular torsion can be cured in the first hours after the disease is detected. For this, manual unwinding is performed. The patient is put on his back and gently unwind in the opposite side. This testicle is slightly pulled down. If everything is done correctly, the pain is significantly reduced or completely disappears. If this procedure does not help, then the patient is operated on. An autopsy of the scrotum is performed, then the testicular is untwisted and its viability is evaluated. If the help is rendered late and the testicle is no longer viable, then it is removed.

If the long and narrow leg, then a torsion of testicular hydatids can occur, and this disease manifests itself much less often. Basically there is a disruption in the circulation of hydatids or its inflammation. This is due to the inflection of the pediatric hydatida, the violation of the outflow of venous blood during physical exertion or with various injuries, as well as during torsion with spontaneous untwisting.

Children with hydatidia struck may feel nauseous, they may vomit, high fever may rise. After this, there is hyperemia and swelling of the scrotum, which is constantly increasing.

Hydatide overtaking is characterized by the following features:

- occurrence of sudden pain in the testicle;

- swelling of the scrotum (symmetrical) with the appearance of hyperemia;

- the appearance of a dense infiltrate.

Complications of torsion of hydatids:

- edema of the testicle, which passes into the chronic stage and subsequently leads to a violation of blood and lymph circulation, leading to atrophy;

- epididymoorkhit, which causes excretory infertility;

- dysfunction of the testicle and its subsequent atrophy.

As soon as you find out the torsion of the testicles, you should immediately consult a specialist.
