TVs with Internet access from different manufacturers

If earlier the TV was a usual box with a kinescope, which could only watch TV programs, now its status has changed a little. And many TV sets today have simple electronic games in their menu. Also many TVs are already equipped with such a function as teletext. And the owners of such devices can view the information they are interested in, such as the program of TV shows or the timetable of trains, without getting up from the chair. Even in many TVs there is already a built-in DVD player. It turns out that such models combine two devices. But time in the field of electronics is moving forward very quickly. And in 2009, some manufacturers introduced a new "chip" - a TV with access to the Internet.

And here arises a natural question - why connect the Internet to the TV, if now almost every house has a personal computer or laptop. And the answer to it is simple - just for the sake of extra comfort. After all, no PC monitor can match the size of a wide screen such a TV. And watching the video on the big screen is much more enjoyable. And no longer need to download a movie from the Internet, write it to a DVD-ROM, then insert this disc into the DVD-receiver and view it. Moreover, even the best DVD RW discs can be erased and recorded only up to three times. And TVs with access to the Internet - this is the ability to watch videos directly online. The user simply logs into the Network and selects any of the wide video collection. And all this he does with the remote control.

But, unfortunately, now there are not so many such TV sets on sale yet. Prices for them also "bite". Nevertheless, an interested buyer can find such a model. Several leading manufacturers already supply TVs with Internet access to the world market. For example, the company Panasonic introduced a line of TVs PZ850, which have such capabilities. In these models there is a function VIERA CAST. And with its help, various Internet content is played on the TV screen. And this line consists of four models with a different screen diagonal. This is the TH-65PZ850, TH-58PZ850, TH-50PZ850 and TH-46PZ850. Their screens have, respectively, sizes of 65, 58, 50 and 46 inches. And the prices for such TVs with access to the Internet are in the range of 3-8 thousand dollars.

And Sony released its line of premium TVs called BRAVIA MONOLITH. In the models of this series there is already a built-in Wi-Fi module. Also, you can connect an external Wi-Fi adapter to the TV via USB-input. And even TVs with access to the Internet, belonging to this line, without any problems connect to the home network. Also this line supports Ru Tube - the famous Russian video service. And the owners of such televisions Sony get access to the content of this site. They can view both online videos and several Russian TV channels. And all the content on this site is divided into several thematic groups. Prices for these TVs also depend on their diagonal. For example, the model KDL-52NX800 costs about 2200 dollars.

Well, Samsung is also keeping pace with its competitors. It represents TVs from the 8000 series. These models have an ultra-thin design, and their cases were created using Crystal Design technology. And the service Media@2.0 provides the network capabilities of these models. Thanks to this service from such a TV it is possible to go into the Network and play the content via the DLNA-network protocol and USB. And access to this content is carried out with the help of widgets. They are displayed on the TV screen by an ordinary remote control. The Ethernet connection provides connectivity to the World Wide Web on such TVs, and with the DLNA standard, the 8000 series models connect to the user's home PC. Well, through the USB-port it connects external media with video and audio content. And such an Internet TV, for example, the model UE46B8000XW, can be purchased for 2900 dollars.
