Theo Walcott - the fastest football player on the planet

Theo Walcott was born in 1989, on March 16, in London. To date, he is widely known not only as an excellent midfielder and striker, but also as the fastest football player in the world. Yes, and in general he has a very interesting life, biography and career, so it should be told about all this in detail.

FC "Southampton"

Theo Walcott came to this team when he was only 15 years old. He was immediately taken to the youth squad with which he achieved considerable successes in the 2004/05 season, and, to be more precise, reached the final of the Youth Cup of England. Plus, he became the youngest player of the "Soto" in reserve. Then he debuted at the age of 15.

Before the next season began, Theo Walcott was invited to the pre-season tour, which took place in Scotland. He went there together with the main, the first team. Moreover, when he was 16 years old, his debut at Southampton took place! Then Theo Walcott became the youngest football player in the history of this club, which came on the field as part of the first team. A full match he held in the same year, but October 18. It was a game against FC "Lid United". Then Theo Walcott, whose photo is presented below, came out in the base and scored his first goal. And four days later he repeated the success and rolled the ball into the gates of FC Millwall. Thanks to this bright start, Theo was presented with the award "The youngest sports person of the year according to the BBC version". It was worthy and, importantly, a well-deserved occasion to be proud of its achievements.

"Arsenal": the beginning

Theo Walcott moved to the London "Arsenal" in 2006, January 20, for a young footballer gave 5 million pounds. It was a pre-contract agreement, and the contract was signed by the football player on March 16, when he turned 17. In the Premier League, his debut did not take place soon - only at the end of August, on the 19th. It was the day when the new season of the Premier League began.

In the Champions League, the young player played for the first time in a match against FC Dynamo Zagreb. This was the third qualifying round. There he too became the youngest arsenal player. A little later, a record broke a football player named Jack Wilshere - his teammate.

The first goal to his account was recorded in the match, which took place in the final of the League Cup. Then the opponents of "Arsenal" played FC Chelsea. That's the gate of these opponents Theo and struck. It is a pity that this did not bring victory: the game ended with a score of 1: 2.

Further success

In the 2007/08 season, Theo scored seven goals in all competitions. And the following year he received another number. Instead of the 32nd, now on his shirt was a figure 14, which belonged to Thierry Henry, who left the club. All this season, the young player came out in the starting lineup. In the spring of 2009 he extended the contract with the club.

However, the following year failed. In 2009/10, rarely went on the field of Theo Walcott. Trauma, and not one, that's what's wrong. For the first half of the season, the mutilation was allegedly being pursued by a football player. However, the player did not lose heart, healed, after the end of the first round all the ailments passed, and there were no more injuries.

Particularly successful was the 2010/11 season. Then the player has issued a hat-trick. Three goals just flew to the gates of FC "Blackpool". True, he was injured again, but dropped out for a month - not so long. And on his return he began to score again. By the middle of the season on his account there were already as many as 9 goals. In that season he showed excellent results - gave 9 assists and scored 13 goals at the opponents' goal.

Achievements

The success of this talented football player can be told for a long time. During his career at Arsenal, which he continues (it is worth recalling that he is already in this team for 10 years), he went on the field 226 times and for this number of matches has issued 53 goals.

But the most important achievement that brought him to the Guinness Book of Records, happened in 2012. Then Theo Walcott was recognized as the fastest player on the planet. The speed that he managed to develop is amazing - 36.7 kilometers per hour! The result is really stunning, and, of course, the player, without hesitation, was brought to the Book of Records as the fastest football player on the planet.

Together with "Arsenal" Theo twice won the FA Cup and once the Super Bowl. And in addition, in 2013 he was recognized as the top scorer of the Football League Cup (he had six goals on his account at that time). It remains now to wish the footballer health and achieve even greater heights!
