2004, first September ... On the territory of school number 1, where a solemn meeting of first-graders and a line devoted to the first school day was held, the insurgents suddenly burst. Those who had time, managed to run away, but the rest, mostly students of lower grades, their teachers and parents, the bandits drove into the gym. As a result of a firefighting school, three workers were shot and killed. These were the very first victims, which took the terrorist attack in Beslan.

According to the information received, about thirty militants participated in the attack, among them - those with suicide belts. Two hours later, terrorists released a woman from the school building with a note demanding that the heads of North Ossetia and Ingushetia be called up for talks.

The terrorist act in Beslan, as a result of which the country learned about the heroism of many people, is considered by some to be one of the most brutal in the history of Russia. Dzasokhov, Zyazikov and doctor Roshal came to the talks with the bandits , whose presence was also a condition for Chechen fighters.

It was the second of September, but the terrorist attack in Beslan did not receive its permission. The situation was heated with every minute. The bandits put forward their demands: to release all their criminal accomplices who participated in the attack on Nazran two months before the terrorist attack at the school of Beslan was planned.

In order to prove the seriousness of their intentions, the militants handed over a cassette with a video recording of what was happening in the gym. The picture was depressing: in the forty-degree heat the children were inside the building without water and food, many of them were suffocated. The terrorists demanded medicines, food and clothing, refusing to replace children with adults.

The terrorist attack in Beslan, according to the President of Russia, had only one priority task - to release hostages at any cost.

It was the third of September. At one o'clock in the afternoon several explosions were heard in the area of the school, shooting was started. Suddenly, the hostages began to run out of the building. Under crossfire, soldiers took hostages out of school. Some were helped to escape, but many children, who were exhausted for these painful three days, were carried out by the military on their hands.

After the release of the majority of the hostages, a special forces shootout with gangsters began. In parallel, the evacuation of those who remained in the building. Around the school were deployed mobile infirmaries, in which constantly brought hungry and exhausted children. Many of them did not have clothes.

The shooting in the building did not stop for a minute, the shots rattled in parallel.

Several militants managed to escape and hide in a nearby house, which was immediately cordoned off.

Only in eight evenings the soldiers of "Alpha" and "Vympel" managed to release the last hostages. From the school, emergency cars were departing every minute, for which militia and militia formed "living" corridors.

The terrorist act in Beslan took the lives of 186 children, ten special forces, seventeen school employees and one hundred and twenty-one adults, including workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In total, during the shootout, twenty-eight militants were killed, one was taken alive. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
