The most terrible animals of the world: the nature full of surprises

God created us in the image and likeness of his own. This is the theocratic theory of the appearance of man to the light. No one can dispute that all people in a physical sense are alike. However, nothing of the sort can be said about animals. Even among the representatives of the underwater world there are sometimes specimens that, with their appearance, attack scientists and the public in shock. Thus, the most terrible animals that live in the water are the saber-toot, the "witch fish" (myxina), the giant squid and the idiacant. This list can be replenished with a couple of other "children" of Poseidon, but let's look at only those that environmental scientists have identified not only as terrible, but also as very dangerous.

Fish-saber-toot received its name in honor of sharp as peaks of powerful and long teeth. A disproportionate and large head is attached to a short body. The whole body of fish, which is only 15 cm long, is covered with hard skin, which protects it from attack by other predatory brethren. Where the saber-toot is hiding, it is not easy to find any food, but when the victim catches the eye of this small toothy predator, then she does not have a single chance of survival. These most terrible animals are dangerous only for marine life, because the terrible and dangerous appearance of fish is a weapon and a way of survival.

"Fish witch" actually looks scary - the image can be used in some horror movie. This unusual creation is also almost the rarest: in the underwater world there are very few representatives of the unmixed species, to which the myxine belongs. These fishes are the so-called night inhabitants: they hide all day in the mud for the whole day, but at night they go out hunting, seeking as a victim an emaciated or already deceased creature.

The most terrible animals in the world are not only sea inhabitants. There are such representatives of the fauna, which, apparently, were the objects for the creation of popular science fiction novels. So, a small primate-lemur from the island of Madagascar, which has the name "aye-aye" (a rukonozhka), seemed to have come down from the frames of the filmized novel about Harry Potter. His narrow muzzle, protruding giant ears and shining paws with large middle fingers make it feel like this is the home elf Dobby to whom Harry granted freedom.

Sometimes the most terrible animals are also very dangerous. So, for example, hookworm. This is parasitic helminths, the size of which is an average of 1.5 cm. Ankylostoma can penetrate the vertebrate body if the hygiene rules are not respected, and also through the soil (for barefoot infection, it is enough to walk barefoot on the ground). The place of development of these creatures is the intestine. Ankylostoma can live in the human body or animal up to 4 years. This parasite inhabits almost everywhere, however it is most common in warm and humid climates.

As a rule, the most terrible animals are those that people know about from films and stories. An excellent example is a vampire. It seems that this fictional character of fantastic fairy tales has nothing to do with the animal world. But this is absolutely not the case: a vampire is a bat actually existing in America , the basis of which is the blood of animals. This creature not only flies well, but also runs fast.

The number of terrible and dangerous representatives of fauna is great. However, the most terrible animals in the world are people. Only they cause enormous damage to nature and to themselves, exposing humanity and the whole world to the threat of extinction.
