The metro station "Nevsky Prospekt"

Metro "Nevsky Prospekt" is a branch of the St. Petersburg metro. It is an integral part of the Moscow-Petrograd line. On both sides of it there are points "Gorkovskaya" and "Sennaya Ploshchad".

History of creation

Metro is a quality, fast and convenient way to get to many parts of the city when you need it. The wise construction of the transport complex is an important task, thanks to which the daily life of people is greatly simplified.

"Nevsky Prospekt" is a metro station that opened in 1963 in the summer. Then the zone to which this item belonged was called the "Technological Institute" and moved to "Petrogradskaya". The name of the station is due to the proximity of the eponymous central city highway. Initially, the metro station "Nevsky Prospekt" wanted to be called "Plekhanov Square", as it used to be called the territory located near the Kazan Cathedral.

To get to the station, you need to go down to the crossing, from where there is a road to Mikhailovskaya street, and also to the avenue itself. Metro "Nevsky Prospect" (St. Petersburg) was designed by architects Andreev, Shuvalov and Getskin. It was here that the first model of the organization of the part assigned to the vestibule was used.

Reconstruction

When the metro station "Nevsky Prospekt" was being constructed, I had to get rid of the Perin series, as well as the portico of Ruska. During 1972, the portico was restored, but it gained several other proportions.

It is extremely important to have an underground communication for such large cities as St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg). Metro "Nevsky Prospect" quite quickly compensates for this need. Since 2014, the Perin series have been renewed here. It is worth noting that now they are strikingly different from their past performance.

Old view

When the metro station "Nevsky Prospekt" was put into operation, he had only one exit, through which the message was conducted between the lobby underground and Mikhailovskaya Street, which is on the south side.

Externally, the exit resembled a cascade, which included two types of escalators: 3 small ones, where you could ride, went into the chamber located across, and also 3 large ones that were part of the sloped course (similar structure can be found by going to "Proletarskaya", but here they are Stand at an angle between each other). "Nevsky Prospect" (Peter) - the subway, which was repaired.

Changes

During 1998, the inclined course was reconstructed, which resulted in the dismantling of small escalators. They were replaced by a flight of stairs, consisting of three marches.

With the onset of the summer of 2007, we had to get rid of the primary elements that illuminated the vestibule, and replace them with standard ones. Until November 1967, on the territory of the butt in the north, there was a point for transplantation to the station "Gostiny Dvor", which was part of the Nevsky-Vasileostrovsky line. In 1968 on April 30 there was a move called "Nevsky Prospekt-2". This item summarized two stops. It was also a while the metro station "Nevsky Prospect" was closed due to repair work on escalators. Then the point just passed without stopping.

What is Underground

Going down here, you can find many interesting things. This station is laid at a depth of 63 meters. Hall under the ground erected engineer Maximov and architect Mayofis. The pylons and vaults were decorated with plaster and decoration in the form of aluminum fins, which had been previously polished.

The walls on the way were covered with tiles of glass, adding a red substrate, which in 2006 was replaced by a non-natural stone of similar color scale. The floor of the hall in the center was decorated with labradorite and a beautiful gabbro. The platform had a floor of asphalt. In 2007, this part was replaced with granite.

In the middle of the room at the point between two pillars, where the ceiling is particularly elevated, contains information inscribed in a decree issued on behalf of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Council. In accordance with him, the metropolitan of Leningrad was awarded the Order of Lenin. During 2004, the administration refused mercury-based lamps and began using sodium lighters.

Ease of use

Through this point you can move to the trains going along the Nevsky-Vasileostrovsky branch. This is a unique point in the city where passenger flows are divided along the routes:

  • From Nevsky Prospekt to Gostiny Dvor. There is a lift and its course from the territory of the point. The northern part has a hall where descent and elevation can be made. It is a few steps away from the center. From there, four small electric ladders guide the passenger to the right, to the "Gostiny Dvor". Those wishing to rise here, others descend further. Due to this, the direction along which the passenger flow is ensured. From here on four small escalators one can get to the left and go to the Griboedov Canal, which is also connected to the "Gostiny Dvor" by two not very wide corridors that go around the small lifts and are located in parallel. So there are as many as two options how to get past this point.

  • From the "Gostiny Dvor" to the "Nevsky Prospekt" you can walk. There is a descent along the stairs, along which it is possible to pass to the tunnel for the passage. Usually people move on top of the platform, which has a direction to the north. Walking down the stairs, you can find yourself in the hall in the center. The direction of movement of passengers is provided by turnstiles, which are below.

This is a convenient point of embarkation on transport, through which you can get to the right place.
